If we insist on keeping playing this Covid charade, then what Ford did was actually data driven and the best course of action.

I work in this area. I just got off a high-level weekly Zoom call with knowledgeable insiders, and I simply can't imagine which data and what kind of analysis you have in mind.

Please present your data -- and if there is none to support your statements then please refrain from making such harmful and ridiculous assertions. Vaccines aren't everything, but they are a very important piece of the public health puzzle.

I went for a walk Sunday and took down any anti-vax propaganda I could find along my route.

This was after a tiny group of ignorant people decided to tell kids that were heading into the vaccination clinic that they were about to be victims of a genocide by needle.

So, I'm compliant, vaccinated and believe in the science.

That said, if you are fully vaccinated, wear a mask and distance yourself... we should be quite comfortable with the odds.

Lol I must say the pandemic has really shone a light on SO many conspiracy theorists and well, to be as polite as possible, easily influenced, too lazy to actually read or listen to medical professionals, sheep. I'm sure it's happened in a lot of families, but in my own I've seen a couple of these people come out, out of nowhere - luckily none in my immediate family or those closer to me. These people are so anti-government and pro-conspiracy that if the government made an urgent announcement for people to stop running onto freeways such as the 401 because it's akin to suicide, well the suicide rate would immediately shoot through the sky. It's both sad and mildly entertaining to witness it all over the past 1.5 years.

The recent one that features a prophecy on population control and vaccines as a way to perform genocide is making its way around our city.

Apparently, the Georgia Guidestones... some kind of artwork put up in 1980... foretold that genocide in the name of population control would be done via vaccinations. Covid is fake. Vaccines were created to address a fake problem and will actually kill us all.

At least that is what these excuses for human beings were telling kids who were being vaccinated on the weekend.

Ironically, these geniuses also felt that the best way to deal with an airborne virus was to rip their masks off.

No one claims it as a hoax or anything, the flu kills many people world wide yearly and the numbers top covid in charts I saw. Years ago before Sars and all this I got sick with a virus that kept me bed ridden for over 11 days unable to raise your head off a pillow with high fever. Got pneumonia once ages ago so bad viruses and flu's have been around since the dawn of time. Sars, swine flu etc never locked down the world before. I'm truly sorry for your grandparents or wife going through that but millions and millions around the world have died lost hope and went bankrupt, broken families etc lost businesses of a lifetimes work, closing churches that help in the spiritual compass for those who beleive but keep liquor stores and big business open. You think older people in homes don't lose their will to live when their only joy is to see family but cannot? Did you ever witness people dropping like flies in the streets due to this virus? What about other Countries who did not believe in total lock downs are their populations all dead? In Florida the governor did things right he did not lock down everyone but protected the elder and vulnerable. They have closed down all small business and totally infringed on the charter of rights for the average citizen, because if this virus is so deadly like the news spews on daily 24/7 there would be bodies piled high in the streets ala 1918, but they still allow flights yes even from the origin Country by plane loads and from all over the world, does that look like a serious attempt to save people? What about Trudeau and all these cronies who force these measures but then are caught doing otherwise? Does all the peoples affected above lives not matter?

I never believe what I am fed by these crooked politicians and do research instead of just believing what main stream paid government news shoves down your throat to be a lemming because doctors from hospitals around the U.S have come forward and stated on other media platforms that many deaths were paid 15,000 dollars for a covid related toe tag even if the cause of death was not so and they were shut down and videos removed to stifle their information. I could list myriads of info from top virologists.

None of them saying the virus is not real but totally pumped up with untruths and over hype and handled incorrectly. Viruses are in the air and can be on any surface that you touch being contracted so many ways including going through the masks they make you wear as doctors claimed if you can smell odors through the mask then it is useless to a virus. My point is we are not being told the whole truth because there are too many holes in their agenda.

Cancer, diabetes and heart disease trumps the death charts yearly worldwide but because its a multi billion dollar business they carry on putting all the chemicals in our food, water etc. do they give a crap? But now all of a sudden give a crap due to this virus locking people away like rats which alone causes the immune system to break down stated by many top doctors adding to that mental and financial stress which also breaks down the body. How many of the elites have money invested in big pharma with these rushed unproven vaccines that have also caused many deaths and side effects?

COVID is not at all like the flu. It is a much more serious illness with an incomparably higher mortality rate. The strains of the flu we have seen since the end of the Spanish flu pandemic come nowhere near to the destruction caused by COVID-19.

Surely there is a lot of graft and corruption in government and in the health-care industry. That kind of thing follows money where ever it is found. However, the problems with governments and health-care providers do not negate the fact that there is a deadly pandemic that needs to be controlled.

Masks aren't intended to fully protect you, or others, from transmitting or receiving the COVID-19 virus. As you noted, they simply aren't capable of doing that. They are mainly intended to capture the bulk of your spittle when you breathe and talk, thereby marginally reducing the transmission of an aerosol-borne virus. None of these steps are perfect, but they're the best we can do.

One important difference between cancer, diabetes, heart disease and COVID-19 is that only one of them is contagious. They are all serious illnesses, but you won't get cancer, diabetes or heart disease from your neighbour. One of these things is not like the others.

Rises in life expectancy have more to do with overcoming childhood illnesses and reducing premature deaths in younger persons than with anything else. I don't know why the loss of life of an aged person should be more readily accepted than any other death.
