On this Remembrance Day the Habs Remembered what It Feels Like to Win A Game Habs Beat Sabres

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Hutson-Guhle should be the first pairing
Matheson-Savard
Xhekaj - Struble-Barron or anyone they can put their hands on in a near future
Primeau has issues with shots to the glove side, seems to misjudge them and gets burned too often.

Matheson is brutal and whatever fluke run he was on last season hasn't carried over into this year.

What's with the Xhekaj hate Marty? Everyone else gets lots of rope so why not AX?

Dach is not likely to be part of the future in Montreal, not a great top 6 player.

Suzuki is not overweight or slow like some here were suggesting.
Give him a break. He played so few games in the last two seasons. He was looking good two years ago and a super camp and two games last season. He's got talent for sure. Just need to get his timing and game shape back 100%… Give him another 25 games, and he should reach that.

Man, im hope we wont turn into buffalo.

So far down into their rebuild, yet they still are a bunch of sucks.

Times come to move on from Primeau …

Agreed, if the goal is to be “in the mix” you can have a few youngsters getting experience but we won’t develop 100% of them.

Primeau, Barron, even Struble should be on the moving block. If the goal is to trade away Armia, Savard & Dvo some players need to start getting reps on the PK, etc

Last year I wouldn’t have said this but it feels like this year management can’t take hostage roster spots for development purposes AND expect the team / coach to play to win.

Man, im hope we wont turn into buffalo.

So far down into their rebuild, yet they still are a bunch of sucks.

I would have never guessed Owen Power was a 1st OA.

The way Primeau was playing, I have no idea how the Sabres lost the game. Probably the Sabres goalie was equally terrible.
Goalies, they switched at the start of the 3rd before the Habs did:
Ukko-Pekka: SV% of 0.778
Devon Levi: SV% of 0.500.

The game should have finished like 3-2 for the Habs.

Why his gaffes won't diminish no matter where he plays.
Matheson's problem is he self destructs end of story.
Serious teams will want mistake free play.
He tries to do to much, in that regard I would consider him somewhat of a selfish player. What's good for him might not be what's best for the team.

My cable provider actually let me go back and watch form the beginning I just can’t fast forward.

But I’m watching it now :)
If you have problems, watch there. You can pause and come back to that spot at any time, it'll remember time, even if you're watching another video on vkontakte in the meantime. You can start watching at any minute. In short, it's like a video recorded on a computer.

People keep making this defense that Primeau is young. He is:

7 months younger than Oettinger (4th year as starter)
8 months younger than Swayman (4th year as starter or 1b)
9 months younger than Skinner (3rd year as starter)

All those goalies multiple years starting for competitive teams.

He's also older than starters or 1bs doing far better including:

Luukonen, Dostal, Ersson, Annunen and Wolf

This is his make or break year. Yes, the disorganized mess infront of him is doing no favours, but if he can't recoup his game in a hurry, his time in montreal is pretty much on the verge of expiring.

He was tired and tripped over himself he could have caught up but I don't think an EN was that important to him.
He's good enough He'll get his hat trick with a goaltender in the net Thank You Very Much.
I rewatched and Dahlin ,made a big chop with his stick that looked like it hit around Suzukis skates. Sure seemed like a trip.
