When you don't score goals, you don't win..

What's our stats? 3 goals in 4 games?

Whopti-dooo Basil..

Obviously you're not winning the SC from Russia, but if you develop significantly better in Russia for 2-3 years than you would from a marginal role in the NHL or worse, on some AHL team, then I'd still say odds were better of returning and making a difference for a team later, than if you stayed.

Remember the great Ronnie Sundin

only played 1 game in the NHL in 97-98 and then bolted back to Sweden. looked like a solid prospect during the 97-98 season in the AHL.. imagine if he stayed in North America.

There can never be more than a 12 hour time difference anywhere, because then you just go the other way... and make it a 10 hour difference (instead of 14 in this case) :naughty:

Exactly, they are 14 hrs ahead but there is only a 10 hr diffrence.

But the starting times aren't that splendid admittedly. A 9pm start is a 7am start in NY and 11 am start in LA. A 11 am start is a 9 pm start in NY and 1 AM start in LA. A 6 PM start will be a 4 AM start in NY and a 8 AM start in LA.

I was impressed with Norway's strategy. They were severely outgunned from a talent standpoint, but they made the neutral zone a living hell for the Russians most of the game. Just not enough firepower to score goals.

Ive always been very unimpressed with the play from the career KHL'ers on the Russian team. I think its time to put to bed the notion that league competes with the NHL in any way, shape, or form.

It is where people go when they aren't good enough for the NHL, but want to get paid. Anyone who thinks they are even remotely comparable is kidding themselves.

Anze Kopitar speaks great English.

Never would have thought that Slovenia would get to the quarters. Big congrats to them.

Does anyone know if zucc's injury is serious?

First info I could find, after the Russia game

Basicly it says zuke was hit with a puck in the hand area but the first xray didn't show anything. His hand hurts according to the national coach..
