The other thing is you're likely not going to get the same exact match ups, you have to flush the previous playoffs and not just cling to that as the be all/end all.
Last playoffs, it wasn't an easy path, but Skinner especially was f***ing fortunate that he didn't have to play against a MacKinnon or even Eichel level talent until the Finals.
Jason Robertson is OK, but he ain't no MacKinnon or Eichel, not even close. In the Vancouver series, Petterson is a fraud shrinking violent, but JT Miller is alright, nowhere close to a MacK, Skinner almost cost us the series even against just there.
If we have to play a Vegas or Colorado this time around we are likely in considerable danger because I don't think Skinner or Pickard are up for the challenge of facing higher tier forwards like that for multiple games in a row. Skinner is gonna get eaten alive, that last Colorado game could be a very unfortunate preview.
You gotta have another gear in your arsenal to go up against players like that as a goalie. Stu and Picks don't have it.
