Zucc injured, looks like a finger.. hopefully just numb, and nothing that some ice wont fix..

That goalie interferance was a bull****t penalty. Olimb is locked up by the Austrian player, who is the one who makes contact with the goalie. That penalty is all about the scrum and the goalie going down, not about what happened. ****ing ********.

Hope Zucc is okey. It would be devatstating if he were to go down for a longer period of time now. But looks like he's back on the ice.

It seemes that Zucc didn't get the assist either. Thoresen and Skrøder had an extra pass between them. Now, i haven't seen every Olympic hockey game this year, but that has to be one of the prettiest of the tournament. Beautiful passing.

Edit: And just as I posted they are reporting on the Broadcast the Zucc has gone to the locker room with his hand.

Edit 2: And he's back.

Update : Zucc has gone to the locker room, has trouble with his hand... ffs, this better not be serious...

Kudos to the ref for solving the high stick without ****ing us over. A 2+2 there might have been a game deciding call.

****! Terrible decision to try the poke check there. What the **** were you thinking Haugen?

Sorry guys, hopefully you will get the 11 seed instead of 12 and get to play low scoring Switzerland.

Grabner looked to have lost control of the puck, so I can see why he went for it. Didn't quite work out though, obviously.

I understand some die-hard fans not liking the Olympics.

But for the NHL, they can play a season with the exposure of the OGs or they can play a season without it (ok add in the Allstar game).

If they opt not to go, it's short sighted. It just is.

I might be one of the .0001% of Islander fans (since 1975) who do not hate the Rangers, in fact, I like them a lot, just like the Isles more...there's a number of Rangers I actually really like and wish they were on the Isles: Nash, Kreider (who will own the league one day), Hagelin, Richards, Lundqvist, Boyle (one of THE classiest guys in the league), Girardi, but after today's game against the Russian Olympic team, on behalf of all Islander (and US hockey fans), a BIG thank you to McDonagh, who no doubt has been the best US defensman so far, including Suter.

Not only is he playing his off side, but he has been a vacuum cleaner on skates, sucking up every charge the russians made. I suck as a rec league player, but even still if I was an NHL-level talent facing a line with Ovechkin, Malkin and Datysuk, I'd run for cover. In my more familiar sport, it'd be like facing Bird, Magic and Jordan coming down 3-on-1.

Kudos to Ranger fans, if only the Isles had him....when does he become a free agent....? :yo:

I'm a Rangers fan who grew up on Long Island in Isles country and grew up hating them for all the **** I got as a kid especially prior to 1994. They used to chant 1940 when I would get onto the school bus come playoff time EVERY DAY. Trottier during his Pens days was actually my neighbor (he came home as often as he could I guess). So I've bitterly hated the Isles for most of my life but in the last 5 or so years post lockout my hatred has subsided a lot. And the Isles have actually grown on me a lot. I find myself defending them a lot over the years on these boards when our fanbase at times have gotten insufferable with their self-assured arrogance that has no merit. Mainly I think as both our teams struggled over the years a lot of my hatred just diminished and I started to like a lot of the players they've had. I particularly remember after JT got drafted a lot of people on this board were bashing him for no reason whatsoever except for blind hatred saying that he will never have the career of Duschene or Kane drafted after him, and I think only I and Boom Boom Geoffrion were defending him saying how he'd be the best player from the draft and he deserved to go #1 and were jealous he was an Islander. It's funny I find myself doing the same thing with the Devils. Still believe the 99-00 Devils and the A line were the most cohesive and chemistry rich team I have ever watched in the modern era. Come time when we play our rivals I hate them like the rest but as I've gotten older I've come to respect and admire the teams we root against for the players and histories they may have.

Just awesome

That is the FLying Puck in Manhattan

this one is close by you

Look at all that beer flying

I'm such a cynical *******. My heart swells with pride when I see these and world cup videos but part of me says why can't the people watch the NHL regular season with the rest of us and get excited about Hockey the greatest sport. Same with soccer. I wish our country would just embrace the greatest sports on Earth. They rather watch basketball and sportscenter top 10's with the same alley-oop play #1 every night.
