Haha, good for Oshie. That almost seems unfair to the guy to keep trotting him out there. He responded, though. What a player.

it's crazy, after such a classic game full of such world class players and talent and all I can think about is Cally demanding $6 million which would making him among the highest paid players out there...

yeah, ok right...

That should put the U.S. into the bye, avoid tough matchups hopefully until the semifinals.

Ice Stepan and Miller against Slovenia, hopefully.

Stepan is probably a healthy scratch and he has had a bad year so there is nobody i would put of of the lineup for him

I think, with Kesler playing injured (perhaps with a broken finger?), they will give him and Quick the game off in what should be a straightforward matchup.

Its a miracle stepan made the team even as a bench player

First time I remember seeing McDonagh playing right side in a game. Struggled a bit with it. Callahan played pretty well. Kesler probably with a broken finger. Canucks fans are probably not too happy about that. Quick played really well. Oshie the shootout specialist.

Dustin Brown is terrible and I'd rather play Stepan on the wing than see Brown out there again

Quite honestly agree with you.

Quick stepped up huge in that shootout for the most part, but that third goal by Tyutin was absolute crap on his part. If Lundqvist let up that goal, this board would **** itself

I was hoping for Rus to win, would have put the US and Canada on one side and Russia on the other. Now Swe an US are on one side, if Swe and Can wins remaining games vs Latvia and Fin, it's a lottery were Russia goes. Depends on goaldiffriential between Rus and Czech and Finland (if Rus beats Slovakia).

Canada could get a heck of a easy way if US, Rus and Swe ends up on the same side.

God:
JvR has been so good. lol @ the Flyers

Good:
Callahan & Backes are wrecking balls
Kesler and Pavelski continue to do great
McDonagh is still great
Kessel is making things happen
Fowler and Kirk are great. 2nd and 3rd best defensemen imo

Bad:
Kane has so much skill, but is being too selfish. Isn't used to playing with good line mates.
Suter has been meh
Orpik and Carlson got pylon'd, but were okay otherwise
Wheeler. lol. He was ugly, but it's hard to judge from 10 seconds of ice time...
Oshie, Pacioretty, Statsny. Invisible. At least Oshie was money in the shootout.
Quick. Still looks extremely shaky. #2 today was savable.

Ugly:
Parise. Our captain is invisible
Martin. He's good, but the turnovers and icings. So frustrating.
Brown is the stupidest player in the world

Wow that was AWESOME. Oshie and Quick with nerves of steel.

Also awesome seeing all the casual hockey fans getting into it.

But gonna be honest if I was a Russian fan I would be pissed. Tough to lose on that technicality.

Russia should get the 4th bye because they got the loser point today. They need a regulation win vs Slovakia and Finland/Canada to end in regulation.

Bylsma constantly mixing up his pairings is annoying though I get the whole "short tournament gotta try to find something that works"

I'm not sure McDonagh struggled, he just didn't look as comfortable as normal. I think the US woudl be much better served keeping him on the left and with someone like Shattenkirk.

I'd rather the final four teams be the best ones than have Russia, Canada, US, and Sweden play and knock two of them out before the medal rounds.

The tough assignment will be Finland, of course.
