Everyone can say what they want, but that line has worked hard, hopefully it will pay off. He's improving . good sign
The team just lost 6 in a row and it was all Swayman against Panthers. Don’t think anyone here would lose any sleep Losing him on waivers to bring up 1 or 3 of Lysell, Pots, Merk, or Letteri (speed and leading points PBruins)I have to keep reminding myself he’s just 24 years old and, in theory, is still on the upswing. I always think of waiver pickups as “grizzled veterans” for whatever reason.
I’ve been less impressed with his play than many others judging from reading the board. Not sure where he slots into an NHL lineup long term. Either way, I do agree with Sweeney and others that he’s worth a longer look than a run of the mill prospect who hasn’t proven himself (at least somewhat) at the NHL level.
He’s working hard and that’s all any fan or coach can ask.

Hes playing good but the guy can't finish. As I've said before it's sad they give vets like him 14 games and give Merk/Lysell 2 and 1 games respectively. Even if you don't think these guys will be NHLers it's concerning to see as a fan14 games. 2 points. 11 mins of TOI. Seems like the audition is already about 4 games to long.
I thought he played well last night and was working hard, one thing I liked about him, and something that team does not do enough, when he gets the puck on his stick he is looking to shoot. I sometimes think they look to make that extra pass when it is not necessary .Hes playing good but the guy can't finish. Yeah I like some things that he does, but at the end of the day if your biggest asset is your shot then you gotta start scoring if you want to stay.I thought he played well last night and was working hard, one thing I liked about him, and something that team does not do enough, when he gets the puck on his stick he is looking to shoot. I think he competes, I would not cover him in dirt just yet.Yeah I like some things that he does, but at the end of the day if your biggest asset is your shot then you gotta start scoring if you want to stay.

Do you think he has a chance to solidify a role on the 3rd line (if he can break through a bit more than he does now) in the future or is he 4th line material? Note that "4th line material" isn't an insult, good teams roll a solid 4th line that is more than just fungible junk.I think he competes, I would not cover him in dirt just yet.

I thought that line had some jump to it and he will get physical, and if you have him and Freddy play like they did last night, makes me a little less concerned about Poitras.Do you think he has a chance to solidify a role on the 3rd line (if he can break through a bit more than he does now) in the future or is he 4th line material? He looked decent yesterday. Had a couple shots on net. Hit the post on another. Caused a bit of chaos in the offensive end. It’s not like he is breaking the salary cap or anything.Totally agree, time to move on from this 1st round bust. This guy wouldn't be getting so many chances if not for his 1st round pedigree.
