Some twitter insider said the Flames are tabling him something long-term. If that’s true, I’m guessing there is considerable distance between the two camps on the caphit

I have heard there has been talk on a 1 year and the Flames have broached the idea of something longer term. 1 year is good for him, he bets on himself. I think Conroy is betting on him to, which is why the Flames are wanting more years. Id really like to see something like 4x4, might be a pipedream though.

I think his on ice product is overstated. He is a fine 6D on a stanley cup contender. Should be rewarded accordingly- 3x2.25 m seems fair.

I think he has more to show considering he came back after 2 years of not playing hockey and he didn't even play half the season. I imagine most, if not all of that was an adjustment period.

I think the next season will be closer to what he'll provide going forward. I'm curious if he can come closer to his 2021 production (not match it obviously, since that entire season was a much better team)

Either has to be a cheap long term contract or a two year deal. If a team wants to give him 5 or 6 years then he should take it.

I really want us to sign him. Desperately. Always been a Shilly truther. Only having gotten 33 games out of our last two yr pact with him I thought this deal would be done by now, but our trajectory has changed significantly of course.

Still, get it done.

I would've thought that Kylington had signed just to make sure he doesnt have to start next year in a new environment. Like some stability and familiarity would be a good thing for someone who has been dealing with mental health.

Explains why there’s been interest in Conroy brining in another D in FA. We’ll see who we get, but I don’t see any of the top guys coming here. Dumba/Kulikov level probably

What an ungrateful tosser. Was he expecting to break a bank with his next contract? Didn't look semi decent most nights....
