I doubt he's coming back this year at this point, and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if next year was a step back for him.

Waiting for sexy pick leaning on a roman column and by a waterfall...on a plane back to Calgary

Imagine the pairings

Hanifin-Andersson
Kylington-Tanev
Zadorov-Weegar

Call up Wolf and that’s a contender with any group of forwards

Pretty sure it’s news to everyone that there’s a situation with his mum. Details?
Last report I heard was he was staying home with his sick mum , that's the personal reasons he didn't report to camp over and the league allowed us to claim it as LTIR . Most here have talked about it , possibly only news to you ?

I can't honestly believe he'll be able to just slide right in and be the man after taking a year off. Just can't see it. Would love to be wrong though.
Yeah I couldn't agree with you more , I expect a pretty steep ramp up for him to get back to NHL speed . But hey Fingers crossed eh .

I only wish we could slide his contract since he never even reported. I don't have issues with him staying away, just kinda feels sucky to burn half his bridge deal when he didn't even do camp

Cuts both ways. If he struggles this season after taking a year off his next contract is going to be significantly smaller than if he'd kept his momentum up from last season.

Just read the news. Hope he's back as soon as he's ready/able. Was a big missing piece last year. Weegar was a great add, but we missed that silky skating and speed from Shill.
