Prospect Info: Oliver Kapanen, RHC, KalPa U20 (U20 SM-sarja), 64th Overall

Roy has not shown enough.
Two important goals and a less peripheral game, though. Roy has been more involved and better than some give him credit for having been.

Laval can really use his help, though.

It was suggested that Kapanen would go to Laval for the playoff push, but I honestly believe he can add some gusto to the Habs' lineup.

Time to brush up on your Swedish:

Så vitt du kan bedöma från en höjdpunktsvideo har ungen bra händer och verkar inte blyg för att gå på mål!!!

Kapanen has a nice shot, but is that even a contact League? parking in front of the opposing net almost looks like it is done by invitation.

One thing to say he is willing to go to the front of the net there. It will be another thing to see him do the same in the NHL.

The idea was to send him to Laval after his season but considering we could use a center in Montreal, does he get a chance in Montreal first?

Evans moves up to 2nd line with Laine & Newhook? It's not ideal, but he'd at least provide them with a defensive presence & help Newhook with a speed game.

Kapanen to 4th line.

Or, Heineman moves up & Kapanen plays wing. Idk, but like others have said, he has to be better than Pezzetta. We also gave Roy a chance during a playoff push.

Can't say I agree with that.

He's been very good value for them this far, and with the cap increase, he's likely to be as good or better value the last two years unless he falls off dramatically.

Would love to have him as our 3C next two years. Very productive 5on5 while being top tier defensively and fully bought in to a no PP time role. Perfect fit really.

He fits the kings like a glove. He was a good grab for them and another betgevin ufa blunder.

Yes, I think it will be Montreal.

I'd consider taking Armia out at this point. The fourth line needs more help than the second line for the first time this year...

Kapanen can apparently play in Montreal and, when the team's season ends, go down to help Laval. Kapanen's clan and Montreal will discuss this today.

I feel Roy will be heading back down and Kapanen will come play in Montreal first.

Wouldn't it be nice if he developed so much this past season playing big minutes he can come in and play on 2nd line: Newhook - Kapanen - Laine

I’d like to see an all Nordic line:
Heineman - Kapanen - Laine

Bolster the shut down line:
Newhook - Evans - Armia
