The team was bad with those players too.
Agreed . But we also got to the finals with those guys so we must have been good at some point . I also remember having a G.M. who saddled us with David Desharnais as a number one center for several years because skilled top six centers were really hard to acquire according to him , that didn't help much either . But the main reasons we've been bad the past few years are the rebuild/tanking and youth/inexperience , not because of Dvorak or bottom six players like him .

LOL what should we be rebuilding on in our rebuild then.
There is a difference between blaming and understanding the quality of these players can and must be upgraded.
I believe the teams poor performance the last few years can be linked directly to the rebuild/tanking and an influx of young , inexperienced players as opposed to folks like you who want to blame individual players who , obviously can , have been and will continue to be upgraded over time , not overnight .

That will be a hard decision for Habs to keep Kapanen with the Habs or et him go back in Sweden. He is really not far from NHL caliber play.

We finally see more forwards pushing hard for the spot- Roy, Kapanen, Beck. Next year will be Demidov, maybe Hage. It is better quality than Heineman, Farrell, RHP.

Personally I wouldn’t. Anderson when he’s on is great. But that’s the games against the Leafs and then every four or five games. He doesn’t have the IQ to be effective and keep up.

Gally is definitely on the back nine. But as a coach, you know what you’re gonna get from him every night. He needs to play less minutes, as fatigue seems to wear him down. But that tenacity, north south style is contagious and has a place in the lineup albeit overpaid for what he brings now. That said, he looked better last year with Newhook and Armia than Anderson did at any point. Offence does when Anderson is on the ice.

If Gally doesn't get traded before his current contract ends. He can come back until he retires on cheap deals imo. He can play 3rd/4th line minutes and if he's under 2.5 he can stay until it's time to retire.

He still tries hard and can chip in. He's just slowing down/is getting older for a small player.

Not gonna see Hage for at least 2 more seasons.

I like Roy for this season and Beck, Kapanen Heineman next season!

RHP, Farrell, Armia, Dvorak will be Laval bound or traded away….

Go back to Sweden and make the team next season with a playoff stint in Laval at the end of his SEL season
