it did seem like a not great decision to start pickard against a top scoring team like dallas.

mcdavid has had no finish lately he is looking like connor brown out there

Watch PK on ESPN is becomes obvious why he had a reputation of being an annoying locker room presence
He is like Anson Carter. He probably worked more on picking out designer clothes or turning his car seats into Versace upholstery than work on their game.

Duchene absolutely embarrasses Draisaitl there.

Such a soft defensive play. That was a prime example of the type of weak defending 97 and 29 are bad for. It’s clear as day from his body positioning, Draisaitl is thinking Dallas is going to be aggressive driving our net with 30 or so seconds and instead of establishing good body position and taking the man, he’s giving up a path to the net trying to leverage a low percentage stick check into gaining possession and a step going the other way, thinking about a quick transition maybe odd man rush before we even have control of the puck.

Duchene happily takes the free ice and soft check and drives to the net for a good chance.

I’m trying to understand what he’s doing out there on the PK. McLeod can kill, Ryan can kill, Gagner can kill. Why are we putting our biggest defence liability out there?

And Skinner is nowhere near the top. Our standard level here is low, so Skinner is just automatically considered much greater HERE

We need to play top 3 defensive hockey like the streak and make life easy on them or they both implode
Yeah I never said he is near the top. I said Pickard is nowhere near him. Killing penalties isn't top 3 defensive hockey. It's what a good hockey team is good at. Clearly we are not

Weak goal. Thought the bad sequence began with soft, passive defending by Desharnais. Soft gap going down without block. Puck gets through and easy goal follows on beaten net front support.

Is Pickard worse than Oettinger this game? About the same really.
Couple bad luck ones, especially the 2-1 goal. Makes a great save but puck bounces around off him and goes in. The PK goal he lost it, should have had it but it wiggled loose. I didn’t see the first one he allowed.

Yeh did we play top end defensive hockey in period 2 against Detroit?

If the Skinner haters focused on the opposing goalie every game they’d find just as much shit to complain about.

For example, that 2 on 1 Derek Ryan goal, they’d be saying Oettinger has no lateral movement and blah blah blah if that was Skinner letting in that exact same goal.
Yea Oettinger has been garbo this game too

That's the culture we have had here. They changed their minds for two months and worked

Now that's too much to do. They stop playing the structure like flicking a light switch

It's no wonder they get so many coaches fired

Islands in the stream.
Really. He’s a saint for putting up with it
Yep. One of the best players in history, one of the best students of the game, 6 time SC winner, and he has wait all the time for Subban to be finish speaking whatever gibberish he's saying. Most of the time Mess is just holding the Mic. I'd want to hear Mess commentary everytime but loudmouth can't shutup.

I feel like pk subban is actually bad for the sport. Like the dude isn't cool enough in a sense that he'd drive an untapped demographic to consider hockey. Idk what they're aiming for. He's corny.

Corny as f***. Kids don’t think this is cool. Kids see a try hard.
