Yes we are containing 97, but we aren’t doing much in their end.

Yes, some great missed chances, but we lack anything close to sustained pressure in their zone.

If we keep playing this track meet we will lose.
It's still pretty amazing that we are doing so well without so many guys that most of us consider to be crucial components.
 
Step 1...gain possession
Step 2...break out
Step 3...skate and pass through the neutral zone
Step 4...enter their zone with NUMBERS
Step 5...cycle, pass, skate around their zone with the puck
Step 6...find hole and shoot
Step 7...get the rebound
Etc
 
Allen looked like he was sitting ready for it to bounce back from the boards. That's happened a couple of times this year.
 
We obviously aren't attempting to score anymore. We do have hitch's game plan of "give nothing up vs. Do nothing either" going as well. If Jake holds down the fort we might win this.
 
I really enjoy listening to the media when discussing coaching and what not. No one will admit you cant expect a shift in play style if you retain 99% of the coaching staff.
