Games tonight effecting Sens

Appreciate the daily updates @mianjo

Thing about Lane Hutson is we’ll never get a player like after the first round simply because he’s not 6’4.

We took Gabriel Elliason over Cole Hutson ffs.
I don’t mind them drafting big players over shrimps like Lane Hutson. I’m more bothered by them taking big players over clearly better big players like Ben Rogers over Matthew Knies.

Also think people need to pump the breaks on Hutson, at times he’s looked downright awful in his own zone. Not everyone has to be a big crease clearing Dman but he can’t even slightly disrupt the guy in front of the net.

uhh yea he's a 20 year old rookie with 42 games of NHL experience. if you compare him to Fox, Makar or Hughes ofc he needs to be better. but you should compare him to the other 20 year olds in the league.

inconvenient for us that he is already so good and will only get better.

I will easily take what he brings over being able to clear a crease. Did you see him outmuscle/out finesse 2 Canucks in the offensive zone the other night?

He will be a star, and combined with Demidov (+ the rest of their young core), the Habs are going to be a top 3 team in our division for a while.

Pittsburgh won 5- 3
Philly lost 4 - 1
NYR won 3-2
Columbus won 6-2
Ottawa lost 4-0
Buffalo won 4-0
TB won 4-1
Boston lost 4-1
Islanders up 2-0

Blue Jackets have actually drafted well past the first round and got a better return for Seth Jones than we did for Stone and Duchene combined, not a surprise they're ahead of us now, even if just slightly.

They added to their D core. Traded for Severson and Provorov. Then they signed Monahan.

I think one real telling factor with the Jackets is they have some of the worst goaltending in the NHL. They have a commited group and Werenski is looking like a Norris candidate.

They don’t have the deepest team but they play hard and give it all every game - very different from this team.

Flyers are similar in that sense. Play hard, give full effort and you’ll win games regardless.

The CBJ first line is looking good with Voronkov, Monahan/Fantilli, Marchenko. Marchenko is a big Russian with good hands.

Kent Johnson & Chinakov (injured) emerged this season.

Marchenko especially has been on fire this season. 46 points in 42 games and the chemistry with Monahan and Voronkov is dope. Great to see so many guys pull together and click after the loss of Gaudreau

It's kinda fun watching other teams with a reason to cheer for a specific team since the Sens are still in the thick of things.

Hoping the Hawks beat Detroit and Caps beat MTL.
