It is what it is at this point. If McDave and Draisaitl signed off at this point then lets see how it plays out. Of Course its HF so we'll just see another 8 Shit on the Oilers threads cause people have nothing better to do.
Go Oilers.

When you hire Bowman who was involved in that Chicago scandal and hire babcock who was abusing his players, what do you think? Oilers always seem to sign controversial characters

Right before those things happened there were never any Canucks or Flames fans such as yourself who filled endless threads trolling the Oilers - are you serious lol?

Sure, those signings are some more ammunition, but save me the part where anyone actually cares, it's just a chance for trolling.

When Anaheim signed coach Q there wasn't half the outcry there would have been if he had settled with a Canadian team.

I won't claim to know what Babcock is really like as a person- and who knows, maybe it'll work out in Edmonton. However:

What we all know about the NHL is that players and former players are famously hesitant to say anything negative about anyone in the brotherhood. The fact that there's so many former players that have outright called him a horrible person, (Including old school guys like Chris Chelios, whom no one could ever accuse of being soft or sensitive) makes it really difficult for me not to believe.

lol he was a jerk to Franzen and told Laine to put the controller down - what other “vulnerable “ players ? Modano
Because he was geriatric ?

Hockey players have turned from the most mentally hardened unflappable men to ‘vulnerable’ mentally and emotionally in a single generation

Franzen is 46 years old, so I'm curious when exactly you think this single generation shift happened?

I’m not exactly sure, but it seems to have happened sometime between Wayne Gretzky crying about being traded and then getting over it and Patrick laine and Elias Peterson getting so into their own heads that they can’t even play hockey anymore

Chelios has been outspoken about a number of players and coaches. Look up what he's said about Mike Keenan.

Matthias Ekholm at his ripe old age of 36 would instantly be your best all around defensemen. Lets be honest.
