I’m saying Franzen's mental health issues may have been the result of other players repeatedly hitting him in the head over his career rather than a coach yelling at him.

And as someone who watched nearly every one of Franzen's NHL games, he was a player that constantly floated and lacked motivation. Very frustrating player to watch and I’m sure it drove the coaching staff crazy.

Marner put himself as laziest.

That is good awareness by Marner, but for Marner to take on leadership role, he has to be willing to let teammates know if he thinks they can work harder and push more.

The fact that Marner was crying/inconsolable after his teammates called him out on what Babcock told them about list shows that Marner is weak minded and had trouble being assertive and confident to his teammates about that incident.
