Not sure from that guys tweet if Tocchet actually said more than the NHL talked about diving. If he's implying anything about the Oilers though. First that would be a joke coming from an org that has a decades long reputation for diving. Second, we should be calling them out right back.

Randy Carlyle in 2017 kept talking about how the refs were giving McDavid special treatment before our Ducks series, and we said nothing. Our reward was Kesler riding on his back the entire series and the refs being scared to call anything in our favour.

I was a Habs fan until 1979. I hated the Leafs back then because HNIC was the only place to watch NHL games and sometimes they’d televise the crappy Leafs a few Saturday nights in a row and you’d miss out on watching the Stanley cup champions for a while. Now I hate the Leafs because all their media and most of their fans are delusional idiots.

I'll add that the old rod hockey game came with the Habs and Leafs teams. As a fan of the Habs at that time as well, I hated those blue plastic F***s. Lol

The Nuck fanbase and media are breathtakingly stupid.

They are the only group of people that could possibly throw barbs about the Oilers diving (that is essentially non existent other than Perry), when they have Pettersson and Hoglander on their team.

If the NHL actually is cracking down on this those dumbasses will be stunned I'm sure when it's the Nucks taking the penalties.

At first it was end of season is too condensed then it was we better get some rest before playoffs, and now it’s too much rest.
Some here need to quit complaining.
McD himself said rest is a weapon, I don’t see a problem here.

Rest is only a weapon if both teams don’t get it. It is pretty bush league that the Oilers finished their series in one less game but both teams get close to a weeks rest because the NHL needs game on alternating nights in the USA. Yet somehow they have no issue playing the first game of the second round before the last team in the west is decided.

I'm 100% all for a crackdown on diving and I'm one of only a few Oiler fans willing to admit that we also have some guilty parties here.

It's a stain on the game and it's been getting worse because the league hasn't been doing a damn thing about it.
