Yet another whiny bunch of posts about Skinner when you have multiple skaters giving up on defensive zone coverage. Only Hanifin’s point shot goal against did we defend adequately, and how many times have we played Vegas, they won a playoff series against us the exact same way.

So what rhe hell is Bouchard doing here in the same side of the ice as the play on the wall and why did Podkolzin do what he did here??

The defensive gaffes were shit but Skinner was once again the 2nd best goalie in the game. And that's been a regular basis this season.

Me and my friends joke but we say things like “careful, don’t play too well, the oilers might send you down after a solid effort like that”

philp looked great. f***ing caggiula was at least hitting people.

Our collective management team is utterly incompetent. We are the New York jets of the nhl. That’s not a good thing….
Ryan looks like a tractor that has seen one too many harvests.

I know that Lavoie has looked poor in the AHL season thus far but a few posters here suggested that having Lavoie as the 13th forward might make sense when inevitably, Ryan would need to recharge for a few games.

Agree that Philp and Caggiula both look better than Ryan--who has been a good soldier-- but is struggling out there.

Their team defense improved a lot after Nov 12th, but you get what you pay for, Skinner/Pickard are two back ups, teams tend to not be in sync to start the year, for us that seems doubly so, having goalies with a poor GSAA in that case is a recipe for disaster because you need them to give you a little bit more room for error.
I don't believe you, that's impossible with Skinner and Pickard in net :sarcasm:

of course not....in 2022-23 they were 10-10 after 20 games and finished with 50 wins

this team coasts at the start of the year every single goddamn year and yes, it's frustrating

They were 3-6 to start the Canadian division year too because Mike Smith was hurt and Koskinen shit the bed.

That could've been trouble too since that was a shortened season.

They've had 1 good start in the last 5 years (15-5 at game 20 I believe).

When Drake f***ing Caggiula makes you look bad, you know you’re done as an every day NHLer.

That looks like Draisaitl's guy from that image. And Bouchard had himself a little dance to boot. What a joke of a performance on that last goal.

You just know Adin Hill is going to go on a tear now and get all his confidence back. Dude freaking probably loves coming into Rogers Edmonton, it's the arena that basically changed his life from third string nobody to well known NHL goalie/SC winner/probable Team Canada goalie.

I honestly thought we played a pretty good game. Hard fought game vs a top 5 team in the NHL.

I know it's been a frustrating season, but I don't really understand the negativity after this one.

Tough loss with a min left

Said it before but this team is lucky they are even close to 500. Their team stats including special teams are rancid.

But I see guys are already saying they are doing the right things, unlucky blah blah

Maybe they'll cope their way to another Finals appearance.

Aiden Hill is junk too, it's embarrassing. Had one of the luckiest runs to the Cup I've ever seen from a goalie.

Skinner makes him look like Hasek though

I guess then what does that make Skinner's "run" to the Cup Final last year? lol

Since I don’t care much for this 4 Nations Cup, I hope he makes Team Canada and gets Salo’ed right out of the league.

It’s like every move made this summer has backfired 100 percent.

McLeod: 13 GP 4G 4A 8P
Foegele: 14 GP 5G 1A 6P
Holloway: 13 GP 4G 2A 6P
Broberg 12 gp 2G 7A 9P

Meanwhile the current bottom 6 players from the likes of Henrique, Brown, Janmark, Ryan, and Perry all have less than 3 goals and no more than 4 points apiece. Its utter dog shit how our bottom 6 is playing.
