“It’s probably the highest it’s ever been since I’ve been here.†- Oilers winger Taylor Hall, on his frustration level

In before asks for a trade

It's been coming for a while now.

Will be really sad when it comes down too. PPG player by 21 years of age, he'll be the only player the Oilers have drafted in the last 5 years that will be in the HoF when he finally gets away from the Oilers and all is said and done.

Meh, no sense in getting upset at people who're interested in dumping the Oilers in order to become fans of a team that actually competes and plays a more complete game.

I'm seriously impressed by both Calgary and Vancouver this year. Since the 'Nucks are my second favourite team in the west, I'm quite happy to see them doing well. It's helped to keep my interest up this season, since Edmonton is seemingly dead-set on getting either McDavid or Eichel.

Lowe: “I’ll just add a piece to that, John. You know, fair question. We have two types of fans. We have paying customers and we have people that watch the game that we still care about, but certainly the people who go to the games and support, we spend a lot of time talking to them, delivering our message. I would, uh, I think it’s safe to say that half the general manager’s in the National Hockey League would trade their roster for our roster right now. And in terms of the group that messed things up (voice rising) you’re talking about the group that had the team one period away from winning the Stanley Cup.”

MacKinnon: “Seven years ago.”

Lowe: “And you know the cycle of that. You know we chased the dream a few year for our fanbase. Like a lot of teams do. And then at some point in that time frame we realized that’s a bad plan and we made a change. We’re finishing year three of that plan. Now you say to me you’re getting impatient after three years?”

MacKinnon: “It’s not me. It’s the fans that are getting impatient.”

Lowe: “And lastly (talking loudly now) I’ll say that there’s one other guy in hockey today that is still working in the game that has won more Stanley Cups than me. So I think I know a little bit about winning, if there’s ever a concern.”

Bennett looked like a more tenacious Matt Duchene. So just imagine them having the a Monahan-Duchene 1-2 punch down the center for the next 15 years. I think Burkie must be loving how embarrassing his organization is making the Oilers look.

I know right?! even to this day i'm still pissed Oilers didn't pick him because he can't do pull ups and Drai is big and still doesn't know how to uses it.

Trade him to Pittsburgh. If we can't win anything, may as well screw the rest of the league, lol.

I like mason too, not as much as bob though

Hindsight is 20/20. With the defence the Flyers have this year it doesn't really matter who is in the net. Bob was looking grim during that time of the trade.

This Eakins presser does indeed sound like a final post game presser no? Sounds like he's talking about the players as a past. Saying THEY can, but it seems he doesn't think he'll be around

Tha Canadiens are doing well. Safe for me to cheer for them.

Everyone cept the veterans, 3 top 6 players and half the defense?

Some players buy in and seemed to not be completely inept.

Then it's the system he's teaching them, it looks like most of them are lost and confused out there 90% of the time.

Yup. Book it.

His chances ticking away...his prime ticking away...no end in sight...no future...
Only one thing to salvage his entire life time of training
Get out of edmonton

The maybe he should ****ing play hockey. Stop skating around like an idiot going no where, afraid to touch anyone, beating the same player twice instead of taking it to the net, playing his own ****ing side instead of wandering all over the damn ice..He's been around for 5 years through 4 coaches and he still can't play hockey. How the ***k is that Eakins fault..

Eakins almost surely has coached his last game (if not, then we are dealing with an organization that needs to be stopped by Bettmen), but that is nowhere near the biggest problem. Lowe and MacT can't be trusted to pick the next guy.

This has reached conspiracy theory levels. Like they have some secret agenda to run the team into the ground for some reason.

Yep, if Eakins isn't skidded by Monday, that's what I'm going with.

UGH! Just saw the players get booed on the way to the dressing room. Absolutely HATE that. Silence ok, but really dislike booing. I know it's part of sports, it's just my opinion.

From looking at Eakins I find there's such a distance between coaching and players.

There's a reason that feature won't be in the new arena.

Blackhawks only had one guy above 20 minutes. Must be nice have depth.

At least Shultz wasn't above 20 minutes.

Didn't watch the game tonight. I watched my two favorite teams, Penguins and Islanders play instead. Much more enjoyment out of watching great teams play. I suggest you find new teams to cheer for because as long as Lowe and Co. are employed, this embarrassment of a hockey club will continue.
