There's nothing to move.

$6.3 is closer to 6 then 7. Pretty sure that's something you learn in elementry school :shakehead

We're also talking NHL money here where 300K ends up in the governments pocket anyway.

$6.3 is more than $6, right? Who cares if $6.3m doesn't round up to $7m? Who cares if players pay taxes on that additional money? None of that makes your previous claim that the Avs won't pay anyone more than $6m true.

Not sure where you are confused? There is nothing wrong with what I posted earlier regarding arbitration. Also, (although, I'm unsure how it's relevant)

I'm not confused. You are posting about people making ignorant comments and not being educated

That's not how arbitration works. Once the dollar amount is determined Colorado can decide if it's a one or two year term.

This was just one example of you doing exactly what you are accusing others of. You are incorrect about how arbitration works

Your "facts" that the Avs refuse to pay their stars is another example, but I think that has been covered sufficiently by others.

When was the arbitration hearing again? Some of us appreciate things like that and relevant discussion to the topic at hand.

I now that I have read that Colorado would not want RNH due to the fact that they have Duchene and MacKinnon as high end centers. Would it make any sense at all to Colorado to move Mack to the RW? Does he play better as a center or a winger?

Not sure where you are confused? There is nothing wrong with what I posted earlier regarding arbitration. Also, (although, I'm unsure how it's relevant) if the Oilers had an opportunity to pick up an elite d-man that commanded a salary higher then $6 million there wouldn't be an issue. The Oilers aren't the ones in the situation of holding out in paying a player what he's worth.
it's quote clear, newport is cutthroat in their negotiations. I don't recall a certain instance where they don't go for top top dollar. 7.5 for ROR was top dollar for him. Subbans contract also was a circus. 9.5 if I remember right. Tyson Barrie is a new port client. They're gonna go for top dollar. It's all a part of negotiations. So I have no clue why you're bagging on Sakic when the oilers is your team.

6.3 is higher then 6. Fact, disapprove that.

If you wanna pick up a Elite d men you're gonna pay overpay.

Not from this avs fan. RNH is a decent player but if we're losing Barrie we need a d-men or top notch d men prospect coming back.

Fair enough. That said is Mack a better RW or a Center?

Just imagine if there were no mods :help:

I think Mack showed that he's capable of playing C last year. Unfortunately, the Avs didn't have the depth to make up for Tanguay and Iginla not being capable top 6 wingers. And, he tweaked his wrist, which impacted his shot.

I think he should have a better season at C this year, especially if we get decent top 6 seasons from at least 2 of Grigorenko, Colborne and Rantanen.

Macks gonna be a center for a long time, although it seems that we have a crave for top6 wingers on the avs, we do have several hybrid forwards who can play both c/w... I'd feed my imagination if we acquired rnh, that he'd play rw long term for MacKinnon
