I’m going to take the opposing opinion and say I actually like that Stu was pissed at letting in a goal late. If you remember, last year in MSG against the Rangers, a similar situation occurred and he was visibly upset with himself. I don’t mind seeing my goalie show some emotion like that.

I think he obviously knows he needs to be better and I, for one, appreciate that he has that fire in him to not settle. Especially since I think some posters here often accuse him of being too care free and of not putting the work in (the Skinner is overweight narrative).

Time will only tell if he can drag himself out of this slide and get back up to respectable numbers like he did last year, but for the time, I don’t mind him being frustrated.
I couldn't figure out if he was pissed at himself or the terrible play by his team infront of him.

Should loop back to what I said before the game about an Edmonton Oilers victory being perfect to round out what's been a great week.

My divorce took 2 years to finalize n it's now done.

I asked a girl out to be my girlfriend after a month of chasing her (she said yes)

I played net in a beer league for the first time in 12 years and did not get lit up. Managed to help preserve a 3-3 tie.

And not only did the oilers win tonight, they destroyed in that third period
Yukon, I’m glad things are looking up for you. Everyone deserves happiness in life. 👍

I like Vinny as a person, glad he got that bag, but yeah he looked ... rough last night. That's a massive downgrade from Zadorov.
Oh it sure is. I disliked Zadorov intensely but an opponent has to be doing something to garner that reaction. Conversely I LOVE seeing Desharnais as an opponent. My only fear is the gig is nearly up already and probably doesn't last the season. We schooled the Nucks into thinking this guy moved any of his results. nah, carefully sheltered here.

Lots of vancouver fans wishing VD is waived.

Playing Vinny over Broberg was a pretty stupid move in hindsight.
The combo of not getting Broberg enough time here AND featuring him in the last two playoff rounds was a masterclass in how to tempt an offer sheet. Its the two things combined that resulted in the disaster imo Would the Blues even savor the sauce without seeing it when EVERYBODY is watching. The Oilers almost kept Bro incognito. That they then couldn't help themselves and featured him in the most visible segment of NHL is dumb as hammers. I don't even see there being any thought process in that. Oh we needed him. Well, now you lost him forever.

Ironically it was the desperation to stop using Desharnais that resulted in the use of Broberg and him passing Conference final and SC final with flying colors. One wonders if the same offersheets come without the playoffs.

I think if Stecher wasn’t injured he would have been in for Broberg which probably would have led to a chain reaction of Broberg being traded for less than a 2nd during the off-season.

Desharnais has played 80% of his minutes with Brannstrom.
Brannstrom is a good skater and shifty, agile etc but he doesn’t have the type of defensive game Kulak has. Vinny needs to be used in a pure defensive role to be effective. He is effective in the red zone around the net. He’s not a guy who works well in transition or really any other aspect of the game.

Truly there are instructions for everything lol.

Meh if they had a guy like Kulak who is mobile and good at controlling gaps he would look good. Canucks just went out and got a random assortment of big guys. D partners need to compliment each other.
I don’t understand why some people want Kulak traded. If anything his performance this year and Desharnais’ cratering should be proof of his value.

Whichever defenseman needs help with his game you just pair with Kulak and they get better. It even worked with Nurse but Kulak just can’t play the right side long term unfortunately.
