Penalty kill destroyed our momentum today, albeit on some pretty questionable calls. Not their best game a bit disjointed but oh well. 1st place baby, now give us our captain back.

We survived that one. Sabres likely deserved a better fate, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Probably our worst defensive game of the year, but Stu had a great game and won it for us. In a long season you are gonna have these dogs, but it’s nice that we have different guys that step up when we need it, and tonight it was Stu and Nuge’s turn. Take it and move on.

Oilers are lucky they played their C-level game against a mediocre team like the Sabres. Guess it makes up for the Capitals game. Anyways, grabbing 4 of 6 points with McDavid out of the line-up is a team win.

Rare goalied Skinner win. He played well. Where is this most of the time? His concentration and reaction stops much better today.

Buffalo deserved this but take the W. Winning goal also created by an Oilers zone out where the official ran interference. oilers were getting hemmed in until that. Not that we got a lot of help from officials but that was a bizarre play by the official. Comes off boards to run interference. haha, I'll take it.

The goalpost @ 2-1 was also huge. Would've been harder to come back from that.

In fariness he was exhausted on that rush. he got double shifted as the game went on and had lots of shifts nursing this win home. Still strange that he'd hit post instead of open net. heh. From the same guy that can sift a puck into a 3inch sliver opening from just above the goal line. Go figure. Its like golf I guess where some holes give you trouble.

Also with Oilers always having trouble with Buffalo. Like always this is difficult. Sabres speed youth and with some skill, they give us problems. I like watching these games. Buffalo Oiler tilts are always entertaining.
