Had a great game after letting in a poor first goal. Still want an upgrade on Pickard that is a capable starting goalie for the playoffs with how inconsistent Skinner is. Just not worth the gamble of going into the playoffs with that duo again.

Thank the refs for keeping that team in the game. Prior to both penalties the Sabres were getting their heads caved in. This league is an absolute joke. Look off a clear trip on Hyman then call that penalty on Kapanen? Ridiculous. Don't give a dime to this crooked league. Pirate games on TV, don't buy merch and don't go to games! Only way things will ever change. Once again we get a single PP the whole game. Would love to see the stats on those for the past few years. I'd imagine we're way ahead of every other team in number of games with 1PP opp.

Would have counted regardless (or should have lol NHL officiating). Perry wasn't in the blue, he was directed into the area outside the blue he was standing in, and he made zero actual contact with Reimer and just got pinned in a spot where the stick got wedged. Was honestly Reimers fault for not dropping his stick.

We survived that one. Sabres likely deserved a better fate, but that’s how it goes sometimes. Probably our worst defensive game of the year, but Stu had a great game and won it for us. In a long season you are gonna have these dogs, but it’s nice that we have different guys that step up when we need it, and tonight it was Stu and Nuge’s turn. Take it and move on.

Need a better tandem for sure. Didn’t think that 1st goal was that terrible but whatever. You risk being torched as a Skinner apologist with any contrary opinion. Not sure there is any clear upgrades on Skinner, maybe a 1B replacing Pic.
