Then the Canucks shat the bed on special teams in the 2nd…and it’s a brand new game.

OEL in particular really seems to struggle with this.

It will be very hard for this team (or any team) to tie 22+ mil in three centers unless they start to get some value contracts elsewhere. This is where the lack of farm hurts.

I mean, our ES defence in this game has been exceptional. One of the best offensive teams in the NHL has like 10 ES shots through 2 periods and few quality chances.

The PK against that Oilers PP, though, yuck.

Hard to get a read since it seemed like the Oilers were lifeless after going down 2-0. They came to life with the PP goal and have done a decent chance keeping the Canucks to the perimeter since while creating more high danger chances. Will see what happens in the third but oof...losing this winnable game after being up 3-0 will sting.

It’s the skating, it’s hard to hit people when you can’t catch people.
And the Oilers are pretty quick
