Oilers on pace to finish with 115 points if they play their last 41 games with the same P% they have under Knoblauch. Why is elite P% seen as a negative? Why do people keep bringing up our record before Knoblauch?

edmonton fans coming out of the cave after the Canucks nearly ended their season in October

the most impressive win in this streak as against a struggling Leaves team with garbage goaltending.

the last time edmonton played a contender they got rolled by the Panthers.
“Nearly ended our season in OCTOBER” 🤣😘😂

Checks standings: says here we played the top two teams in the metro div and 4 of the top 6 eastern teams during our streak… but ok.

Nope, Canucks have been consistent all season. Oilers just on an unsustainable 12 win streak, they will lose soon. No team has won 52 games straight
They win the next 7, lose to the Bruins, then go on another 33 game heater to end the season. Definitely running the table in the playoffs, 16-0… first team ever to accomplish this feat.

You said the latter is more likely yet you think I can't wrap my head around it, so which is it?? We have sustained that shooting percentage for 45 games but you won't sustain that winning streak.
The point is neither are likely while both are possible. Thanks for confirming that you still don't understand.

why is elite finishing seen as a negative? edmonton fans keeps bringing up shooting % as an insult for some odd reason.

when the Canucks sucked during the benning/green era we outshot a lot of good teams.. and guess what, we still lost those games.

edmonton fans coming out of the cave after the Canucks nearly ended their season in October and talking trash is amusing.

only casual hockey fans and fans from the frozen tundra are impressed by this 12 game winning streak.

oh look, the Canucks are on top of the league again... something a certain team with multiple high picks and a generational player couldn't do. :sarcasm::popcorn:
Speaking of 'casual' fans, i guess we can put, "nearly ending your season" at game 5/82, in the file of things they are also impressed by.

Never heard of a season being over in October but i assume youre speaking from your experience as a Canuck fan of the last couple of years? When your seasons were done by game 10 because of an NHL record of consecutive games choking 2 goal leads to start a season?

Why would we want to be on top of the league? The amount of shit that McDavid gets from winning individual trophies is enough, we don't need to add president trophy hunting to the list too. He'll go from McStatpad to McPresident. Haters tell us only cups matter, but congrats on your half-a-presidents trophy. Would you like the accept the top half? Or bottom half?

All i hear is that after every win OIlers fans flood the main boards with Oilers stuff.

After beating multipe team records. There is 1 thread on the first 3 pages about them. We need to start showng some damn respect.

Umm they just won 12 in a row! Tying the best record for Canadian teams in NHL history.

Ya ya i know that before 2005 ties were a thing...

But still what the Oilers have done is impressive AF and nobody seems to be giving this team their flowers.

This team had the absolute worst start possible... Now they are Stanley Cup Contenders!!!

Shom some damn respect!

Oilers have a recent thread near the top labeled so the Oilers have finally made the playoffs or something .

The kraken are a team that need a thread I think

12 game win streak is the Canadian team record? That’s impressive and a bit perplexing considering there was the original 6 years with some stupidly dominant teams. And only 6 teams worth of competition.

In any case, I am glad this thread exists otherwise i would have never known about that piece of hockey history.

Thread should be stickied. Let’s talk about it.

Like I said... There was only 1 Oiler thread...

And that was the one!

The Kraken need a thread? You mean the team that has lost 3 in a row and the Oilers just whooped tonight?

Ok thanks for literally proving my point!

You said a lot of nonsense but all you showed is your inferiority complex.
The hyperbole thinking that a season is ended based from only October is by far one of the dumbest things I've read on here.

Different subject matter though. That thread is about Standings and making it back to the Wild Card.

This thread is about Important Hockey History in the Making. 12 games and counting, how far can the Oilers go?

Let’s talk about it.

Happy now?

Feel like Oilers related stuff makes up like 30% of the posts on this forum so people do like to talk about them, the very thread under this one is about(you guessed it) the Oilers.
