Unless they get someone else soon, my guess is he, Bjugstad, replaces Ryan as a pairing with Hyman, and I'm interested to see that

Wait... what?
We had to include a prospect? Really?

All I ever heard was good things about Kesselring.

Adding Kesselring is so dumb. That's what it cost for 450K retention? Sheesh, just dumb for an inconsequential rental. I hate it tbh but I'm a Kesselring guy.

The Oilers decided that Desharnais is the 3rd pair RD moving forward. I could see an add for a no.8 d like Bayreuther, Seeler or Beaulieu with a similar 50% retention. I would still like to see them add another forward like Sheary. Domi would be great if they could swing a double retention deal. Bonino and Sundqvuist likely not in the cards now.

Seems like a bit of a panic trade now that Yamo is probably out.

Holland realized he only had two right shots at forward. Hyman and Ryan. Overpaid to get another.

Again, the Oilers just gained cap room with this move.

Shore down, Bjugstad in = $450k additional cap space.

It helps.

You don’t even have to send Shore down. For the first time all year, we can have a 22 man roster with a healthy team

The deal is now officially shit.

I’d rather not have dealt him, but we also don’t exactly have a spot for him after Vinny broke out. Best case scenario is he’d have been 8th on the depth chart, and still just playing in the AHL for the next few years
