We had our chance, and im not gonna blame anyone, but I dont know how Rielly/Marner/Matthews arent the 100% OT starters in any situation

Not even slightly bothered by this. To get a point out of that game after how this team looked in the 1st is amazing. Hope Freddy gets the game puck. 7 out of 8 points on this mini-Western trip. Increased the lead over Montreal tonight too.

As much as many here like to rag on everything the Leafs do, I’d like to point out the best player in the world by a healthy margin had to have one of his supersonic nights JUST for the Oilers to squeak out an OT win against us.

He was insane tonight and we still got 1.

That cost Matthews at least 10 feet to catch McDavid or at least get to Drai and force a bad pass.

Very productive trip overall, 7/8 points, only one OT game. Defense was scramble-y today and hope the upcoming break can fix that.

Not blaming, you’re right he’s the best and arguably fastest player in the league (not even an argument with a puck on his stick) but in 3 on 3 I think putting top talent vs top talent on the ice is a better option in my opinion. Especially when your top talent is better defensively than there’s.
