The Leafs played 6 road games. McJesus' team played 6 home games. Big difference.
 
I went to fridge and got back it was over. We missed a huge opportunity!

Any reason why Marner and Matthews were not out there against the McDavid and Draistl line?
 
The Good: Matty's line was great, McJeebuzz put on a show, TJ Brodie played but hardly heard his name. Lehtonen looks a little more comfortable every game. Freddie mostly solid

The Bad: Muzz Muzz Muzz what's doin bro this ain't you? Willie Ny made some really bad giveaways and decisions, his worst game in a year. The Giraffe made some interesting plays, almost like he misses the "A" you know those kind of plays

The Ugly: WTF! those rags looked like practice jerseys. Retro??? what Leafs team ever wore blue and grey? just another BS money grab by the league. Anybody know what those other guys on the ice, the one's wearing all those stripes were supposed to be doing?

good thing they're going into a little break, not sure if I'd leave Engvall in the starting line-up, he really hasn't been the player I thought he could be.

I'd give Brooksie a long look unless he plays himself out of the line-up or until Robertson is ready to come back

It's pretty good that we came out of tonight with a point and 7/8 in Alberta. Leafs still have another gear.

He's only playing because Keefe has to give him a chance. Dermott is well ahead right now and Lethonen is running out of time.

They were “tired” according to some on here. It was smarter to start the slow centre and least defensively engaged winger against McDavid and Draisaitl instead you see.

your right , we never simply ever get outplayed , there's always a reason how we play isn't the reason we lost

-tired
-refs hate us
-league is against us
-other fans bases are big meanies and there negative energy is making us lose

I cannot imagine they are anymore tired that McDavid and Draistl.

We need to match up our best against their best. There should be no excuse. Rielly, Matthews, Marner can all skate and are capable of breakuping the oiler rush because of their collective speed.

I think that is tactical error from the coach even though it is an improvement from Babs when Babs use to line-up Komarov agains the top line in OT.

Vesey is good for scoring garbage goals around the net but not much else. I'm not sure it makes sense to put him in a bottom 6 role.
 
Honestly, not gonna complain. I’ll take a 7-2-1 start to the season ANY DAY. Keefer please put Mitchy and Auston out to start OT next time. Can’t complain about this start to the season boys.

I agree. I've seen enough of both this year and Dermott defensively is way better... not even close.

Yes lehtonen has to get use to it... but play to win. At this point I'd play dermy every night with bogo. Unless there's an injury lehtonen is on the taxi.

Nothing against lehtonen either... he looks alright and its hard on a smaller ice surface.

Its just dermy has paid his dues and the offensive game so far of lehtonen doesn't even come close to out weighing dermy in the other end.

D before O here... we have the ability to score so many different ways. The powerplay has been amazing without lehtonen.

Play Dermott.

Didn't deserve a point tonight, but we are leaving Alberta with 7 of 8 points. Boys played well overall during the trip. Hope to see them continue to get better
