Post-Game Talk: Oil flooding the infirmary

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
I kind of hope his bum wrist fails so we stop hearing about the traitorous f***
He took the cash--I would have too. The Oilers suck at developing young players who are not superstars but still have a good deal of talent. I wonder if Savoie also ends up starring in some other location? Stay tuned old buddy.

Wasn't much cash. He was going to make more here after a short bridge anyhow. He's a loser.

If Knob is still the coach, Savoie probably ends up blossoming elsewhere. Doubt management want to see their acquisition go to waste though.

In another timeline we hired Bill Zito as GM, Paul Maurice as head coach, Dustin Schwartz is working the Zamboni at the U of A, and McDrai are still hungover from drinking out of their champagne-filled Stanley Cup for the second or third season in a row.
Dreams are nice.

The Oilers are the ones who developed these guys.

Had he signed a one year deal, we wouldn’t have traded for Podkolzin.

Holloway would have been stapled to Drai and probably would have cashed in far more than he’s going to be paid this year and next.

Yea, despite all their protests. Holland spent his whole career leaving guys in the minors until they were ready, and then leaving them there a bit longer so they could prove it. Both players apparently hated that despite it clearly working. Unfortunately he also didn't like paying them when the time came so he didn't think to negotiate during the season. He convinced McLeod to take a paycut for a year and maybe him and Jackson thought Holloway would do the same.

Knob cucked Holloway the entire season except for playoffs, but that didn't last too long. He would've been on a short leash. There's a reason they all immediately signed Skinner and Arvi without giving two shits about his conty. Because Knobby didn't trust him one bit. This org has hated youth for years and years.

This game turned into a disaster, losing McDavid and the Skinner. Looked like a cheap shot to the ribs on Connor, hopefully only bruised. Another horribly reffed game, but the league thinks they are doing an incredible job. Really missed Kane in this one, he would have made someone on the Jets answer the bell after that cheap shot. Gutsy effort to salvage a point, but not hard to be anything but very concerned after this one, with the injuries mounting to key players.
The only positive is it was not a crazy hard shot to the ribs/core
