Post-Game Talk: Oil flooding the infirmary

Another ridiculous thing with the broadcast. 3X Debrusk awarding a "great save" by Skinner and the puck wasn't even on net, shot wide or deflected wide. They have to work so hard each game in the broadcast to create the illusion Skinner is actually doing something. He made basically two stops on real chances whole game and they were both pad stuffs from the wing.

lol on the one jets goal Tanev beats him clean, Skinner shitting on the ice somewhere, tanev has all day to beat him again. Whacked the first one off the post with an open net and Skinner sucking his thumb.
He just had to fall flat on the ice on that third goal and he would have covered the puck up. Can't even do that.

Yeah it had nothing to do with the way the Oilers played and everything to do with how the Jets played.

I’m sure they just wanted to “take the night off”
The Jets didn't get anything going on ANY of their PP's and including a 2man extended advantage. They were so slow and plodding tonight. Was an off game for them, it happens. Jets are probably a tired team because they've been applying themselves all season. Why would they be chasing pts right now. What purpose? Jets main job down stretch is get some rest. Their regular season work is all done.

I think if the game wasn't close we could seen more fireworks.. happy we clawed back and got the point. Karma will get the Jets
You’re probably right but this is McD we’re talking about. I’m still baffled no one sought out any retribution. Back in the day Slats would’ve sent a message the next shift. I’ll never understand not protecting your stars when it’s clear the refs won’t.

Holloway had another great night. On pace for 65 points but hey you have to live with the decisions you make and move on.

In another timeline we hired Bill Zito as GM, Paul Maurice as head coach, Dustin Schwartz is working the Zamboni at the U of A, and McDrai are still hungover from drinking out of their champagne-filled Stanley Cup for the second or third season in a row.

The Oilers PK was relentless on the 3 on 5 and the one late in the 3rd. Give them some credit.

Listening to the jets media they felt this game was a huge test for them after last one as they haven’t had enough of those games to prove they can bounce back from them.
I think the Oilers played pretty well tonight. It has to be a psychologic burden when you are missing one great player and then another one goes down.

I like how the Oilers played in the 3rd period and even though he will never score 50 again I always like watching Hyman play. I wish other Oilers would go to the net like he does.

But also credit to the Jets--they are an excellent hockey team and will be tough in the playoffs.

Don’t worry, Katz and the Care Bears really believe that the power of love and friendship will win us a Stanley Cup!

When did I say the Oilers played well. Neither team were sharp. The Oilers had excuses with Drai and McD out and Skinner in net.

Neither team was up to much in this one. Both teams PP's were pretty bad.
you didn't...hence when I'm asking the question
the only reason the Oilers were in this game early was cause of 2 bad goals given up by Hellebuyck

OK.

But even the broadcast was critiquing the Jets PP and particularly the 5 on 3 segment. Lol at teams doing a bump back pass on 5 on 3 as well. Just waisting prime opportunity. Oddly the only time Jets PP looked good was the last 15secs of 2nd period. They were sharp there, No other time.

I love alternate universe stuff. Just think of the chicks I could have known and all the sold out worldwide tours.

Schwartz would probably have driven the Zamboni through the glass at the U of A and taken out the Chancellor or something.

You replied before I added the bit about Schwartz!

We might not win a Cup, but we'll definitely win the award for most "good guys in a room."

Aside from all the suspect and shady characters we've given second or third chances to...
After that puff piece from Pickard about Schwartz I knew this team was f***ed.
