LA don't have much prospects but almost all of their picks left. Kenny said that he didn't want to move the 1st round pick at TDL because playoff spot was not locked. Probably it would have happened then if they would have had the spot.

I happily dodge this bullet, Pettersson has great future behind him.

If we are tanking or even doing a mini tank grabbing Nurse without retention could get us some futures from Edmonton while helping us reach the cap floor. Ex: sending Chiarot back (I’d imagine he’d want a shot at the cup), getting picks, etc. Nurse can be a 4-6 LHD. Whenever we are done with him, flip him at 50%. Chris is a tight wad though, if we find ourselves at that juncture he’s trading for an LTIR contract paid out of insurance.

It’ll never happen but I’d gladly accept nurse if they attached a 2028 1st and we flipped him at 7 mill for another 1st and come out with 2 1sts for eating salary when we’ll have loads of cheap contracts and caps going up yearly

I think he would be good partner for Mo. Good skater, physical, does not need to carry his own pairing and be the man, not playing in Oilers system where defense is optional and goalies turn into pumpkins the minute they don that jersey.

Mo, ASP, or Faulk. He steps into that left side and just makes us better there from top to bottom. But if we're trying to tank for a year, well, being better is a bit counter productive.

i think he also was forced in 1D role in Edmonton. If his role is simplified i think that will suit him. The issue with Chiarot is not his style, but rather lack self-awareness and understanding what is going on. My perception Nurse was actually smarter, maybe i'm wrong. He is for sure way better skater than Chiarot.

Well it’s always ammunition to make a trade later on if someone becomes available

Or better yet someone sucks balls and we get a lottery pick
