Not to suggest that the play style is so significantly different, but what he should do before he quits the game is sign in the Swiss league or Czech or German league and get paid to play hockey while living in a cool different country for a few years. Then come back home and work your way into coaching if you've still got the bug.
You're probably right if Europe is less physical. He seemed to be dealing with pretty significant concussion issues in Cleveland this year that basically shut him down. It's going to be hard to come back from that.

OK, so one report from a very reputable source says the CBJ had a new deal in place with Necas and the Canes for the #4OA pick as long as Lindy wasn't available to us. Another report from another very reputable source says Necas would not sign with CBJ.

Who to believe?

the canes one fell through before the draft. so that one imo would've been necas++ for the fourth pick, contingent on an extension, which didn't happen.

then they also had packages on the table from philadelphia and chicago that they would've taken had lindstrom gone to anaheim at 3.

Yes and no, part of creating a workable roster, depends on your division and conference opponents.
Certainly looks like NJ is creating a pretty workable and competitive roster within the division. They knew their weaknesses and are taking care of it.

True, but we are at very different points in our "retools/rebuilds" of roster building. We're still working on our frame and can make changes to the layout. They are adding appliances and are getting ready to move in.

I feel we get Monahan and someone rather cheap on D
I have a feeling we arent gonna do a damn thing.
