Eh, he was one of the few players who looked good tonight.

The Lias-Chytil-Brickley line had basically our only decent 5v5 shifts in the offensive zone in the first period. Then with special teams time coming up in the 2nd and 3rd and the Rangers chasing in the game, they didn’t get as much ice time as they should’ve.

It doesnt make it better that's the problem. We need assets to pool together draft picks and prospects to pick younger players that fit the timeline. Without a Hayes and Zuccarello trade we just have our own picks unless Tampa wins the cup and even that one is like a 2nd.

Other way around, Nieves becomes UFA if he doesn't play enough games this season. But we had already passed the threshold that even if he played every game he wouldn't accrue enough games IIRC.

Correct.

Threshold for Group 6 UFA (which he is set to become) is 80 games. He has played 56, and there are 22 games remaining in the season. So Boo would be two games short.

So since the Flames GM was at the game it means its Zuke for Dube and a 2nd? Is that acceptable to everyone? If so Dallas has not stepped up and tried to reinforce there scoring? For perspective Dillon Dubé is a similar level prospect to Brett Howden, so when Calgary fans say he is likely not available in a rental trade for Zuccarello I tend to agree with them. Would be very happy if it happened though.
