What is the better deal for Nashville
Fabbro,Tolaveen and a 1st for Krieder
Fabbro Tolaveen and a 1st for unsigned Stone
If you're just against rebuilding for whatever reason, that's your thing. Fine.Brooks has had the bug up his ass concerning Hayes for a year, this was inevitable.
But the standout items for me were:
Listen, we’re not talking about Jean Ratelle here. Nor Walter Tkaczuk. Objectively, if Kevin Hayes is your second-best player (behind Mika Zibanejad), you’re probably not contending for a championship.
And
When the Rangers checked in a couple of weeks ago, the number may have been as high as seven years at $7M per.
Speaking only for myself, I am still not comfortable going 7x7, or even 7x5, including a NMC, for Hayes.
The terms of the deal have always made me feel uneasy. They'd make feel uneasy if the Rangers decided to resign Hayes this offseason --- thus having their cake and eating it too.
Larry just kind of brushes past the whole dollars and terms aspect of this story because it doesn't really fit with the narrative he's wanted to portray. And frankly, the more time most people have to think about the dollars and terms, the more likely a feeling of uneasiness is likely to grow.
Would anyone be surprised if Hayes regressed next year back to his old 40-50 point self? I wouldn't. Also, scoring has been up for just about everyone this season
He's been good but also playing for a contract... there is a decent amount of risk involved in signing him long term.
I’ll take those two and they can keep the 1st.What is the better deal for Nashville

They're hoping to fool other teams.

that’s probably exactly what Poile did to mcphee in the erat tradeThey're hoping to fool other teams.
Actually, Nylander would make sense from the Brassard for Zibanejad vein. I’d just rather re-sign him to a six-year, $42 million deal.
That trade was a trailblazer.that’s probably exactly what Poile did to mcphee in the erat trade
Not to mention the leadership qualities Kreider has (hard to say that for the rest). He'll also be great for our young Russian talent the next couple of years since he's fluent in Russian and was a huge help to Buch since his arrival.
The fake Tolvanen. Elio's Tolaveen. You think you're getting Tolvanen and instead you get a school cafeteria-grade Finnish pizza. They're hoping to fool other teams.
If you're just against rebuilding for whatever reason, that's your thing. Fine.
If you seriously think there's a path for this team to win soon, I disagree, but whatever.
But Brooks sits there and admits that a core where Kevin Hayes is one of your best isn't a winning core, and then tells me we should commit dollars and term to that core that he admits isn't winning anything.
Where does he think the more talented players come from? The Tooth Fairy?
Nashville isn't biting on either of those without a vape pen.
Same with me, but man would I would do to see him lift the cup, I wish he would request the trade so we could root him on.Part of me wishes Hank would go somewhere and win, but another part of me literally can't handle him in another sweater. I love that he loves it here.
that shit is at urban legend statusThis is by far the most over-blown thing on here. I love that Kreider always gets thrown around as an attractive leader of Russians.
Someone needs to make him cry again.
Vape pen included. Deal

pretty sure buch had an interview where he said kreider’s russian isn’t even that good
