I totally agree. Either panarin is completely holding the organization hostage or the gm figured that they had to go for it now because they are a small market team.
It's similar to the Isles delusional fantasies last year. If your top players won't commit you absolutely need to assume they don't intend to stay and move them unless you self-rent with a reasonable chance to actually win. IMO CBJ doesn't have a reasonable chance to win. It's an "anything can happen" going into the playoffs situation like the Rangers of years and years ago. Anything can happen, but most of the time it doesn't and the best team wins.

The most likely outcome by far is that Panarin and Bob walk, Duchene walks because why wouldn't he if they both do, and then they go to the draft with a significantly worse roster than they've had in a long time and make all two of their picks.

Find it interesting our insiders have gone silent, almost like they need to be right now...

Maybe wishful thinking...l

And after all this is done, Ranger's lines look like:

Machinehead-Harbour Dog-Aufheben
Rangerboy-Gardiner McKay-NYRViper
GeorgeKaplan-Brooklyn Rangers Fan-ChytilChytilChytil
Ola-Offsides-Haohmaru

Edge-Amazing Kreiderman
Jas-Joey Bones
Kovazub94-Bob Richards

UAGoalieguy
Bobbop
I'd like to see @nevesis play goal plz... this way when I flame him, he can't respond that the shot was "Unstoppable"... at least until he's yanked lol

On the notion of Islanders. I think they are smart not paying out of their nose for rentals this year. They already got 3 core forwards about to be UFA July 1.

I like it. He has a physical edge to him as well. Good outlet passer. I would have been happy if it was Bergman for McQuaid straight up.
If Bergman is entertaining a return to Sweden this year, I'd give him a few games on the big club this year so he would understand there is a possible future for him in the NHL.
