A lot of the time they don't even get back to me.

I have a bunch of interviews lined up for this and next week, but haven't had any in the past 2 months since I've been searching. I've been employed at a pretty decent job for 2 month also, just a damn hard job market.

Need some dominoes to fall, I'm getting impatient

Got laid off in November. But was unemployed for a 2 yr stretch before that. Ill day this the dominoes are tipping. I've had more calls and interviews in the last month than all that time combined

I'd to that in a second. I really like Burmistrov.

Have you seen him this year at all? I honestly can't say I have but I always liked what I saw of him before, seemed like a smart young player with crazy hands. What's his deal this year? Up and down from the AHL, healthy scratch...any insight on that?

People saying there's nothing happening this trade deadline, remember last year?

The biggest thing to happen last year was Nash not being traded

Hodgson for Kassian was the only interesting deal

I think he's still developing. Guys only 21. He has massive upside though. With that and a 1st, I'd do it. Take the risk. He can be a bigtime player IMO.

I think he's being misused similar to the way we feel about Kreider. Not being trusted by the coach, etc. Most Jets fans still want him though. Jets employ a similar strategy to us as well, big on the dump and chase and Burmi doesn't really fit that mold. Wouldn't expect him to be a torts sort of guy, but at this point, is Gaborik?

It would be a huge move for the future, but I'd still do it with the first.

Interesting. I always found him to be an intriguing player. His recent struggles are a bit worrying but I didn't realize how young he is still.

Not sure how I'd feel about him and a first for Gabby. I still want to believe that Gabby has his old play in him somewhere but it seems like that's becoming less and less realistic.

I absolutely love gabby and still have faith he will rebound. That said, I don't see him in the long term plans anymore. I was kind of trying to ignore this because he is one of my favorite rangers, but with the addition of clowe and what seems to be a likely extension coming, i think it's almost clear cut gabby is the odd man out.

That said, I'm not thinking with my heart anymore and am using my brain now. I think that deal gives us a potential young stud and a mid/possible low first. I'd hope the jets would throw in another mid round pick, 2nd or 3rd, but wouldn't really care.

I'm a big Burmi supporter and think he has a huge future in this league. I really wanted to the rangers to trade down to get him.

If you look at the players who went in that draft, most of them are either not making an impact in the NHL or not even in the NHL. It's not like he's so far behind schedule. We've been kind of blessed with a lot of our young guys developing quickly (Stepan, McD, MDZ, etc) but Burmi is fine with what he has been. Just needs to be put in a position to succeed IMO. I certainly thing he will be a stud eventually.

Good points with the bolded. I think following NYR so closely has thrown off my scale of what a normal prospects path to the NHL is like.

If Gabby is going to go for a first and a player, I'd be happy with Burm as that player. God knows NYR could use the center depth.
