Arthur Staple said the Isles have little to no interest in moving Streit.

He has little to no interest in resigning with then also... They should keep him around and let him walk for nothing considering they have a chance to make the PO's.

Any self respecting hockey fan should have a twitter account on their smart phone with a list of all of the hockey people to follow. No offense.

Steve Yzerman has already stated he is not trading MSL.

"Marty St. Louis is not going to be traded," Steve Yzerman told ESPN.com on Friday. "He remains one of the best players in the league and an extremely important player to our team, both on and off the ice. We are a team in transition, we just made a coaching change, Marty is one of the leaders of the team, he is not going anywhere."

Glencross? Remember when he concussed Drury and almost everyone here wanted Glencross banned for life from the NHL.

This is where I get that feeling in my stomach where the team is going hard after one guy and is tuning out other options.

I'm thinking we end up making a trade like Higgins/Kotalik for Jokinen/Prust. A couple pieces we don't want for someone another team doesn't want and a spare part. Of course in that deal Prust ended up being the best player, but that type of move in general.

Maybe like a Boyle+Pyatt for something random. I really have no idea.

Anything that's posted to Twitter is on here 30 seconds later. That delay won't kill me. ;)

I honestly think that keeping Boyle is in the best interest of the club moving forward. He's our only forechecker right now. You add in another good gritty forward and you've got yourselves 2/3 of a good forechecking line. With Hagelin on the 3rd line now too its a really solid forechecking line if we can add in another consistent forechecker there. We need a glue guy and forechecker on that line, we can't lose Boyle.

Clowe wants a contract extension as part of the deal. The Canucks are still interested him after acquiring Roy. Montreal. Philly. Minnesota.

If we're not going to buy, then why aren't we selling and trying to build some picks/players to be useful around here in the future?

Standing pat is a terrible decision, IMHO.

Interested, to say the least, in what Slats and co. have in store for today and tomorrow.

I was with you originally but now I don't see any real benefit to making a move for the sake of change. Think about it, we don't have the assets to move or that any team would be interested in. Better off standing pat and waiting until the off season.

Beyond that, with Halpern gone and Torts "not trusting" Miller - who is gonna play C if Boyle is dealt? Newbury?

If they trade him they also need to find another C.

Yes. Additionally, those post game comments yesterday rubbed me the wrong way. You don't just say that about a player without there being some ulterior motive. Kreider got those type of comments before he was sent down. Could be the same for Miller. We might already be in the market for another center already so they can send down JT (who knows). Losing Boyle does not help right now.

I'm not advocating for a trade of Boyle. I just feel like one may be coming. A move on that level I guess.

New Bruin Jagr in 98 with teammate Dan Kesa's nephews Jovan, Nik, and on the left, Milan. Lucic.

Hahaha wow...

Nick Kypreos ‏@RealKyper
Spec has return in #Bruins Jagr deal what Iggy was going to be. Khoklachev, Bartkowski+2nd. I can confirm different prospects

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie 20m
Now it's official. Jagr is a Bruin. DAL gets MacDermid, Payne and conditional 2nd round pick.

That is a good deal for Boston.

That seems likely at this point. Something that evens out the cap commitments and doesn't have too many moving parts.
