Don's words make sense and I get it but it leans even more into why some former Jackets may work. Nyquist for example is just straight up a solid guy who knows many players on this current team, his addition wouldn't be disruptive in any way. I do appreciate Waddell giving these guys an opportunity to see it through but it doesn't mean he has to avoid moves altogether

1. Waddell was quiet this week on purpose to not take away from the outdoor game.

2. Olivier progress is true on a contract. Waddell wants it done soon. Supposed to talk this weekend.

3. Provorov deal isn’t close and not a lot of optimism a contract gets done. Teams continue to scout us in hopes we sell him.

4. Sense is jackets will either sit tight with their current roster or cautiously buy if it’s not at the cost of the future. It has to be a something that helps us now and in the future.

Zero clue hat they are asking for but I've got to be honest that Olivier's game has fallen off since the season start. He's got 9 points since December 1 and there aren't many fighting opportunities. GMDW kind of played his hand talking about how important he is but even that has a dollar limit attached.

I think I'm firmly in the "we aren't selling shit" category. After winning those two games and now being in striking distance of 3, there's no way we split this team up. Without Provorov this team is gonna have a hard time doing anything in the playoffs, one or two injuries and we're in trouble. They're gonna look at Guddy, Chinny and Monny as their tdl acquisitions
