idk if bichsel is ready to be a top four guy right now but I really like him as a long-term shutdown guy in the top four.

is mateychuk-provorov and christiansen-severson a better bottom four than mateychuk-severson and bichsel-gudbranson? I don't think it's a significant downgrade this year necessarily. bichsel is a monster.

Bichsel is way too good for the Provy discussion. One of the most valuable U21 D assets in the league.

Florida's window is right now and Marchand adds scoring and the type of intangibles that they don't have as much as with the loss of Tkachuk would be my read on the trade.

If Tkachuk isn't back for the playoffs, is this really the window? I think they expect him back.

And Lundell is a very good player right now - a high end defensive center who scores a fair amount - he only has 7 less points than Marchand. If he was a high end prospect I would get it.

I don't know enough about Lundell to have an opinion, but assuming you are correct in your assessment of him one must remember that over payment is the rule and not the exception for TDL acquisitons. Evidently Zito thinks that the tradeoff is worthwhile.
