I doubt that Guhle has that type of offensive upside but we’ll see. My bigger point was that you can’t rebuild just through the draft. It takes too long and most non top picks are non-impact or never make it. HuGo is obviously aware - hence the Laine trade- but we need to see more action on that front. We don’t need 30 picks in the next two drafts, obviously.

I agree with that. They'll need to be less patient and be creative on the trade front or the pieces who won't be as impact-full as we think will lose value and make everything more difficult.

I agreed with you. Any player drafted this year will still take 2-3 year before becoming a impact player. We have way to many problems to be fix with only drafted player. We need a Second center, top # 4 RHD, adding more physical players in the bottom 6 and a #2 goalie.

Is a solid top 6. Add Calgary first round pick + 2026 first round pick and we are good for the next 10 years.
 
San Jose not struggling as much as they were hoping for yet so they acquired the worst (non Primeau) goaltender in the league. Would be nice if Georgiev somehow finds his game back and it backfires.

Most penalized teams

Officials will probably keep Habs in tank position When you add that to multiple penalties against Habs ignored they will have difficulty beating good teams.

dont worry , like i said earlier , we have an easy schedule until xmas. Look at the game after that.

we struggle to beat bottom 5 teams , its a question of time before it goes to shit once again.

Pens have a good record in their last 10, but tonight they got their asses handed to them facing the Avs.

I hope they play pissed off on Thursday.

I disagree. They'll be at least -4 over 17 games, at minimum, between Dec 28th and January 31st. This will dislodge us from the bubble group. After TDL will be eventual tanking.

They could easily be -6 to -9 in win% between those dates, without even playing bad. That's how tough the schedule is in that sequence.
