michkov with another goal, almost a point per game now in his rookie season.

Meanwhile our young “stars” Slaf and Dach are on pace to score 4 goals this year and Reinbuster is chronically injured.
Because Michkov is playing on a team with several good veterans. Thanks to Bargainbin Habs had next to no good veterans.

Man burns me so much seeing what Michkov is doing...Reinbacher better be a God damn Norris trophy candidate...
I'm expecting more of a Ryan Suter type stylistically. I don't think RB has the speed or physicality to be that real game breaker. More of the steady win through preventing goals against style with some good first passes.

Anyways, everyone including Chicago are regretting not taking Michkov. It's not like other picks after RB are super hot. Leonard expectedly is crap without team mates on a stacked team carrying him. Benson got buffalo'd. Not a lot to be envious of.

Slaf is better than Michkov.

Moar bigger.
Two different things.

Whatever Michkov does independent of Slaf. Slaf has a talent set we badly need and I’m more than happy with him.

I’ll be watching Mich regardless. He looks awesome. But if RB does what we need, I won’t care.

They haven't played a good team yet since his return, they will return to losing
And that’s fine. I expect us to lose to better teams. But if we can beat the poor ones, that’s progress. At least win the games you’re supposed to.

And we’ve played much better lately. Good games against NY, Boston, Edmonton… we didn’t win them all but we played well.

I’ll settle for Hutson’s partner for a a decade . . . but yeah.
It’d be one thing if we took a similar profile ahead of Michkov. Then I’d be upset. But those two players are apples and oranges. We needed a big steady RD and that’s what we drafted.

I get people being upset over Mich and we may look back with regret. But we need to see how this plays out first.

I completely get what you mean.

Slaf has a body set that we badly need, e.g. big body, gros bonhomme, etc.

oops. No… Unless that Russian RW expressed clearly he did not want at all to be drafted by your team.
Which is worse: failing to convince a teenager to give your team a chance to play him in the NHL or allowing a teenager to bully your team into not drafting him?

I guess Habs were convinced that Michkov would not be available at all before 2026…. ???? Flyers found a way ($$$$$)

So do you figure the Habs were too pathetic to try or too incompetent to know better or too cheap to pay up?

This… or they really thought it would be forbidden to put $$$$ under the table ?

If true that means Kent Hughes the super agent now super GM didn’t figure out how to get a player out of his contract. We’re doomed.
