I hate that there’s a tank thread this year. And so early too. Absolutely sucks that we’ve been that bad. Dead last in a lot of key metrics… just brutal.

Go look at every other rebuilding team in NHL history, this is the norm not the exception.

We saw what happened to the Oilers last year. It got the coach fired. They went on to have a crazy win record and almost won the cup.

I don’t think we need to fire MSL but we need to change something. If he changes the system… great. If not, I think he’ll wind up getting sacked.

Some think it is par for the course of a rebuild. But that’s just a lazy assumption.

The mass regression is a coaching/tactics thing. It could be the case they roar awake and start soaring again with a shakeup. They’re not this bad, we all know it.

I think MSL is still a good coach. At the very least he will survive this season and Gorton/Hughes will give him the ammunitions next season to prove himself
