It's comical how bad of a light this puts Beasley in, and it's absolutely going to effect how negotiations with their talent moves forward in the future.Toucher & Rich: 'We’re bringing Mike Lockhart back, and paying his entire salary.'

Doesn't Beasley own other stations? You'd think they'd focus on the stations/shows that aren't drawing high ratings. Why in the world are you f***ing with a radio show that is printing money? What is Beasley thinking? They have a unicorn with the Sports Hub and they're nickel and dime-ing it?

What a fluff piece. I like Beers and the others. But c'mon. Serving softballls to Donnie. The only thing semi-good was Don made a comment like <paraphrasing> "I hear people saying we haven't planned for Patrice and David retiring (i.e. no center prospects or singings). I'm going to reverse that and ask who doesn't want them on the team?" That make no sense and tells me he had no plans. Had years to plan for it, nothing. If I was Pasta, I'd think long and hard about who his linemates will be in a few years.
If it was this easy to get him back who the hell made the decision to begin with? Maybe that person should lose their job.Toucher & Rich: 'We’re bringing Mike Lockhart back, and paying his entire salary.'

Fred's getting a divorce.I personally think Fred Toucher blows but if they were looking to cut anybody get rid of Wallach. He brings absolutely nothing to the table. Not even close to a fill in host like Hardy and Jim Murray either. Kinda crazy that Toucher didn't offer some of his salary and it's all coming from Rich.
Fred's getting a divorce.
Wallach is solid plus he's backup for Grande. He is the most knowledgeable of the 3 on Boston sports and sports in general. Wallach is also the first employee of the Sports Hub.
Lockhart should have never been fired and Rich shouldn't have to do what he's doing.
I wish I was going to be in town to see Meriweather's live show in November. I'm thinking we will see a new Waldick songWaldick and Brandon Meriweather's relationship was the funniest thing on the station for a while when Brandon would do his weekly segments on T&R during football season

Waldick, where you aaaat?Waldick and Brandon Meriweather's relationship was the funniest thing on the station for a while when Brandon would do his weekly segments on T&R during football season
Fred was always a miserable person. I'm honestly shocked he didn't get fired last year when he had that meltdown when his wife left him and he ended up going to rehab.Waldick, where you aaaat?
Fred is unlistenable lately. Not sure how much of it is a schtick or if he’s actually that miserable a person these days. I get that divorce can do a number on you.
I hope things work out for him and his cat.
Agree completely. There’s a reason the two of them have been successful as a pair wherever they are, and it’s because they work insanely well together on air. Over the years I’ve soured on Fred quite a bit for various reasons, but when he’s on he’s greatFred was always a miserable person. I think Rich is a really good dude, but he doesn't have the ability to carry the show when Fred is out. They'd need to bring in a bigger personality than Joe Murray or Wallach to cohost if Fred got canned.
All the more reason for Rich to demand crazy money for him and whoever he wants on the ride with him, or he bails. I fully expect them to finish out their current contract while dominating every category, and then chase the money else whereIt's comical how bad of a light this puts Beasley in, and it's absolutely going to effect how negotiations with their talent moves forward in the future.
Good for Rich for being a stand up guy.
Sweeney must have taken that class at Harvard that teaches you how to say nothing with as many words as possible.I'm going to end up in a padded room because of Donald Clarke Sweeney.
Beasley would be stupid to not pay them after this.Agree completely. Rich is another class of human. Whatever they pay him it’s not enough
