OT: Official Sports Media Thread 2 (TV, Radio, Print) MOD WARNING in OP

I listen to D&C everyday with the real hope that Minihane is gone. As soon as he annoys me I turn it off,which is usually every single day. The competition stinks so I usually go silent.

There is plenty of other shows that I despise and used to go out of my way to point it out. Then realized I can find better ways to apply my thought and energy.

Why give time and effort to something I dislike.

To be honest, I'm pretty burnt on the local sports talk radio options in the area. I listen to mostly music now instead, and it's far more enjoyable.

For me, the most offensive thing in Boston sports talk radio is Fred Toucher's stunning inability to spit out a complete sentence. I'm talking about an entire sentence without 4 "uhhh's" thrown into the mix. The second I turn on that show, all I hear is Fred struggling to verbalize a thought. He's perfected the "It's Toucher and Rich on 98.5 the Sports Hub," intro after commercial breaks. He manages to get through that tough sentence nearly 100% of the time. But when it comes time to form new sentences, things take a dramatic turn for the worse. "Rich, uhh, I understand, that, uhh, Adolfo, uhh, spoke to the people, uhh, after the Red Sox game." Rich: "That's right, Fred!" And then we go to yet another predictable Adolfo-driven bit.

This guy is a sports TALK radio host and he can't talk. Kind of frustrating to listen to.

A ton of people obviously listen to the show, but I just can't get past Fred stammering his way through every sentence. Can't do it.

Fred is terrible. I think it'd be great if they got Keefe to replace him.

I never liked D&C but I like it a lot more with Kirk. It annoys me that he so flagrantly "plays a character" but, for the most part, I'm entertained.

On tbe other hand, I find T&R unlistenable. Fred has passed Dino on my personal "least favorite" list. I find both of them to be incredible egomaniacs but Fred's "cooler than everyone else" act has pushed me completely off 98.5 in the mornings.

Please - if you don't like what a moderator did simply PM the moderator in question or somebody else on the Bruins Mod team. I can assure you that if you do that the entire Bruins Mod team will discuss it.

The rules of the board are quite clear on this and we as Mods have to enforce the rulebook just like a referee does in hockey.

Do not post on behalf of someone who's banned. That will get you banned as well. The idea of being banned is that the banned member no longer is a part of this online community and is not allowed to interact here. No making threads that give glory to banned people. It's not a violation to mention the them in passing but no threads that focus on them. ("Ah, Troll du Jour, I miss him so!" or "Hey, it's Troll du Jour's birthday!"). Prohibited threads include "What banned member do you miss/would you bring back?" type of threads. If a moderator gives you a specific instruction in a warning, and you blatantly disregard it, you are subject to being banned.

I actually think he's takeless most of the time. Just repeats questions and plays both sides. Even though guys like Felger and Minihane troll, they can at least be funny and are passionate about their opinions.

Felger (even though he isn't my cup of tea) is clearly compelling and that is why he is successful. Jones...not so much IMO

What do people think of Picard? I know he's definitely not for everybody but I think the guy busts his ass and he doesn't really make any lazy takes just for the sake of trying to draw a reaction. To me he sounds like he believes what he is saying, and that's critical to me.

If you take Russo's lazy deflategate nonsense and get rid of it, that's what Picard kind of reminds me of (a younger Boston version that is)

I think I disliked DA more than just about anyone else in Boston....aside from F&M and T&R and Mustard and Johnson.

Honestly, Picard is absolutely my most hated guy on radio. He's the one guy who I literally just can't listen to. Nails on the blackboard for me.
