No idea why Kirk thinks guests have no value on sports radio when the show he's on was literally MADE by the guests they would have in their heyday. Boomer, Brady, Schilling, Schefter, etc. It just strikes me as Kirk doesn't want to do the work to have an good interview and would rather just spend time talking about inside baseball media stuff. I don't want to listen to celebrity callers and have no idea why anyone would. (Remember Felger had his "no celebrity callers" thing, which lasted about 5 minutes)

He supports Gary Tanguay, which to me is like putting a David Duke sticker on your car. But at least he has the sense the dislike Mazz

On the K&C podcasts today they refer to "Sean" and I was like "who?" and its Sean Salisbury. I wonder if they made fun of Anthony Weiner during Headlines since that would be quite ironic.

It was a good podcast.

Boston sports radio is settled into 2 stations fighting for 800,000 people who listen to the format and switch back and forth. Both stations are facing the same core problem in attracting new younger listeners but that is a universal problem with radio today.

Telling point about NESN was discussed is why should they spend more money for their studio shows when their ratings are the same as Comcast.

Oh man that is sad that nesn programming gets the same ratings. Nesn programming blows. Do people forget to turn off the tv after sox games or something? Or is there a way to take sox games out of the equation?

I haven't really listened to kirk and callahan since dino left. Probably won't until they make a decision on format and who replaces dino. I can tell you if it's gary tanguay i am 100% out.

Kirk hinted that he likes the idea of a rotation and said Tanquay could never handle it full time.

Is this Tanguay's way of trying to make an impact? Is he trying to one up Kirk's antics? That was an ugly little broo-ha-ha, fake or not. I don't think he should of walked out, but K&C were laughing their ***** off, joking around and implying that Tanguay was a pedophile while they cut in clips of Sandusky admitting guilt. I don't know, maybe I'm being too sensitive, but it's hard to laugh at that.

If it's what they've done before, they're adding in television numbers and out of market numbers to sway it their way. Never mind that Nielsen/Arbritron don't do it the way they do, because if they followed the real industry numbers, they'd have nothing to tweet. The K&C show gets it's collective teeth kicked in when you use the industry numbers, which is what T&R use.

I prefer Toucher & Rich.

Go back and forth on mid-day shows

Prefer Dale and Holley over Felger and Mazz... although Thornton nauseates me when he goes into Brady man-crush mode.

Like Mazz when he is doing Baseball Reporters.

Pretty pathetic to do that to sway it your way...must be rough when you basically had zero competition for years and then a couple of outsiders show up and kick your talent-less faces in.

It's even worse when you consider that the outsiders in this case, T&R, aren't a sports show. They were shock jocks that were converted and that's what's kicking the ass of what was once two respected members of the sports media here.

Because one show is creating their own numbers and perpetuating them as if they were valid. They're not. For point of reference, I'd say the same thing about T&R if they were doing that as well. Not even sure they are in this case, just going off their track record of doing it from the past.

So what. You are not a dummy who is going to think you should start listening to another show based on ratings. No matter how each show twists it in their favor.
