Yes.

Scenarios:
- Sweden/Russia gets 1 seed out of group play, Canada gets 2, Russia/Sweden 3, USA 4
- Canada gets 1 seed out of group play, USA gets 2/3, Sweden gets 2/3, Russia 4
- USA gets 1 seed out of group play, Canada 2/3, Sweden 2/3, Russia 4

All could result in USA-Canada gold medal game.

Yup. That being said, when you look at the groups and the injuries each team has incured, scenario 2 is the most likely to happen. After Finland's injuries, Canada has the easiest pool.

Olympic Predictions: Majority concur Canada will be crowned

Less than 12 hours away from the opening puck-drop for the 2014 Olympic men’s hockey tournament in Sochi, Russia, it seems everybody has their opinion on who will emerge medallists or end up missing the podium. However, not everybody has the same opinion.

Guest blogger Jesse Gill took the time to rank the 12 countries vying for gold, while breaking down each individual roster with statistical and historical analysis.

Five other contributors, including myself, also weighed in with our medal and award predictions.

When the dust settled, four of the six pundits had Canada penciled in for gold, yet two others had Sweden taking home top honours.

so Canada Russia meeting in the final could only happen because it was preplanned and there is a conspiracy theory set out by some one higher up?:help:

Pretty sure you missed the point.

Gold: Russia
Silver: USA
Bronze: Canada
4th: Switzerland

I think people are underrating Russia tbh. Canada looks stacked but will fail, somehow. The Swiss are intimidating, I honestly fear them. It's either them or the Finns with the "dark horse" chance for a 3-4th spot.
