Keefe has a knack for trying stuff. Refreshing stuffI imagine we will. After listening to Keefe’s presser, they don’t seem that odd. It’s just a change of deployment of what we saw under Babcock, that Keefe deployed after he took over.
I forget who mentioned it in the off-season or COVID shutdown, might have been CJ, but they said that Keefe wanted a more defensive third line, hence what we see now. The fourth line can do a bit of everything.
What we’re seeing is Keefe making the team “his” versus when he took over without a camp last year and we were in a spot where we had to focus on getting wins quickly to get back into a playoff spot, rather than overhauling everything.
Coaching is a fluid thing, so who knows, maybe by game 5 we’ll see Hyman and Thornton switched, but there’s actual logic from Keefe with these and I doubt two small scrimmages is going to change the lineup for Game 1.
Not sure why Lehtonen is playing left defense but odd. Call him a RHD for months and then start him on the left

Good morning. People are overthinking camp lines, so hockey must be just around the corner.
Yes it’s kind of like a bunch of mini-series. There will lots of good natured hatred built up. Love it.I absolutely love playing the same team 3 straight times ... The goal is kinda like baseball where you're trying to win 2/3.
Also cheap shots aren't as likely as you have to play the same guys the next game and can't get away with that crap
Thornton is big, but he’s not a “get in on the forecheck first” kind of guy, he just doesn’t have the speed. I guess that’s why you try things in camp. My guess is Hyman ends up back in the top 6 eventually.
I wouldn't look to much into these these lines yet. Only one day but it is interesting to.see Lehtonen with Bogosian.
Who was on Tampa's top line for the playoffs?who is the "get in on the forecheck" guy on Tampa's top line?
