This is Wednesday, my 3.5 year old Boston Terrier...a rescue, if you can believe it.

It's been a very long day, and Hattie picks 11:00 pm to start her rocket powered zoomie session, which involves flying around the apartment carrying her squeaky pizza slice toy that is almost as big as she is.

Then she decided to investigate the multitude of empty boxes I got from a friend at church tonight for packing purposes, prompting me to stash them all in the spare bathroom and shut the door to prevent who knows what kind of carnage lol.

Oy. I just want to sleep, dog! Sheesh.

Anybody do agility with their dog? I think Hattie would be great at it, if she had the right training for it. She's definitely got the speed and the moves lol.

I do with my sheltie. It's a class designed for fun and exercise, not for competition. Definitely a good workout, he's always tired and naps afterwards. But it's a good workout for me too, a lot of running alongside the dog.

It took a couple sessions for him to get used to the equipment. The ramps and jumps were easy, but it took a few weeks to get the weave poles and maybe 5 or 6 classes before he was comfortable going into the tunnels. For the next set of classes I want to work on his off-leash command.

A local rescue group just came back from Florida where they rescued 145 (yes you read that right) chihuahuas and terrier mixes from a large scale breeding/hoarding setup. Ugh.... those poor animals. Hopefully all will survive and go to good homes.

I know Hattie was rescued from a hoarder with about 10 other dogs, it makes me sad to think how she must have lived then.
