OT: Official HF Bruins Board Pet Thread

Hattie's owner came by to visit her tonight and we made it officially official, she is mine permanently. So although I've had her since July (as a "foster") and I've known for a few weeks that i could keep her permanently, I'm considering Christmas day her official adoption day. We're all happy....me, the former owner, and Hattie (I think LOL)

Lol. My doggie’s anxiety would be through the roof, being with all those big dogs. She would be so scared.

They have separate rooms for big and small pups. And they do a temperament test before they accept a dog for day care/ boarding the first time to make sure they’re ready to be with other dogs. Furley loooooves it there, which makes it easier to leave him there.

Hattie's former owner sent me a screenshot of her DNA test results. Her vet records list her as a pomeranian, but DNA says she is not even partially pomeranian.

I will say she has the smarts of a poodle and the yap of a chihuahua.

The 3% pug cracks me up.

Is she a ChiShihPoo? PooChiTzu?

:dunno:

Greatful to have these babies in my life.

Thinking in the spring we will go forth and look to adopt a puppy. But that's still in the discussion phase. As we still very much miss my dog.

We'll know when it's time. But I check petfinder and shelter websites every other day. 🤣😅

Took Hattie for her first vet visit with me yesterday morning. She was due to get several shots updated, and needed a refill on preventatives. She did really well with the shots, the vet tech said she made the big dogs look like a bunch of sissies lol.

She puked yesterday afternoon but I think it was a combination of the preventative she didn't like, a little peanut butter, and two tater tots from Sonic. Stomach was still a little upset this morning but she seems to be back to normal now.

Gracie is now 10 months old. Amazing dog. Malinois are a lot of work but its incredibly rewarding. Goal is to get her CGC certified in a month or two and then start working on Service Dog or Rescue Certification. I think she'll excel at it. Incredibly smart, athletic and eager to please. Rescue pups are the best.
