Is Aquilini pulling his finest Melnyk impression? I wonder who wins the shittiest owner contest. What do you guys think? Welcome to the ownership circus!

It's fitting that the city was founded on blue collar work ethic and had some of the best owners in pro-sports who gave a shit about the community...

Fast forward to now, and the city has seen a stark increase in money laundering tied to real estate, crime and corruption at all levels which also coincides with a corrupt sports owner who is one of the most [censored] to graze this province...

AFAIK, even though Melnyk it's cheap, he doesn't meddle with the actual hockey operation.

AQ is by far the worst owner in the league and right up there amongst all professional sports. Not being hyperbolic either.

Oh Melnyk does meddle in hockey ops indeed, and has meddled with the media as well when he was getting unfavourable press

MS said it in the other thread and I think I agree; the identified "cancer" might be Pettersson over Miller.

Would explain the shorter deal.

At this point, might as well expect the dumbest outcomes lol

I stand corrected if that's the case. I thought he didn't care about hockey haha.

Blueberry pickers can't get water in scorching weather, but Jim can fail miserably year after year.

Fredo probably thinks Jim knows best because he's a "winner" and "one of the boys" no matter the disaster presented in front of him. It's the only explanation. The fictitious conversation I made up in the locked thread was supposed to be a mockery, not an accurate guess of what transpired...

The Sabres fans got it right....Apparently after five losing seasons, in which the Sabers were legitimately one of the worst teams in hockey, long time ticket subscribers have seen enough. Reports are, the Sabers are down close to 10,000 in total seasons tickets.

It's a tossup at this point which guy is the worst owner, Pegula or Aquilini. The only difference between the franchises is that Buffalo has burned through three GM's and at least four coaches during the same timeframe as Benning's 'reign or error' in VanCity.

But the Eichel situation seems to have been the final straw. It'll take years and some front office results for the fans to return to Key Bank Arena in Buffalo. It may not seem so right now, but Aquilini is flirting with the same abyss in Vancouver.

The average fan and B.C. family has been priced out of NHL hockey games a long time ago....if the corporate suits ever jump ship, look out!

I remember learning in my Schooling( Water treatment) that parts of the lower mainland wells have some of the highest levels of nitrates in their wells due to improper use of fertilizers for Berry farming. Dammit Frankie was the first thought that came to mind.

This isn't on Benning, Green, or Weisbrod. They can't fire themselves. The problem throughout this organization is accountability from the players to the owner. No one is ever held accountable it's just one excuse after another.
